I would hold the money and check the local newspaper for the following week and if someone lost the money; they may place an ad in the paper that they lost something very important. Or you could place an Ad about having found an envelope and where (leave out the info on the contents) and if anyone calls make them tell you exactly what was in it and if they cannot----Merry Christmas too you!!!

Just because you FIND something, it doesn't make it yours. A bank teller gave me $20 too much once, I pointed out her mistake and gave it back. Another time I found a checkbook in a store parking lot...$1400 balance in their account...I turned it in. Whisper...YOU aren't the only one who works her butt off! How could you enjoy spending THAT money on yourself when you know you didn't rightfully earn it!? *That's just me!* |

The only thing that annoys me here is all the talk of testosterone and tough guy stuff! Im just talking sh1t, thats what i do. If someone comes at me with a line, i respond to it, its just banter. Its gets taken the wrong way sometimes, but i sont worry about things like that.

Its amazing how moralistic people are pretending they would be over 130 bucks in a plain envelope. Id rather just leave it there on the floor than go to the bother of taking it to the police or anything else. Of course, it would just go straight in my pocket though. If i dropped any amount of money on the floor myself i wouldnt expect to get it back. Finders keepers losers weepers. i wouldn't hesitate in the least - i'd keep it. if, however, there was a wallet attached to the money, lol, i'd return it, without touching a single item, except to look for some telephone number with which to call the owner. |
