It was mentioned at yesterday's Presidential Debate, that Palin knows about Autism? Palin lives with Autism because of her son? I thought Trig was diagnosed predelivery with Down's Syndrome is there a connection between Downs and Autism??? Are they one and the same?

I am researching both, I know a few families with children with Down's syndrome, have never met an autistic child, so not sure whether misreference was a booboo or an ooppsie...

it was mentioned after the debate that mccain was somewhat sloppy, inconsistent, and hard to understand with certain things throughout the debate.
this was one of them. if he's going to pat someone on the back about something they believe in, he should research more so he at least sounds like he knows what he's talking about. |

i dont think he confused her child as being autistic he used it as an example. children with special needs in general is what he was talking about
