Well bad language is one thing that isnt tolerated, especially if you are being aggressive with it. If you wanna get away with a bit more, make sure what you say is just in jest.

I swear like a trooper and have strong accent too. But when i type i usally revert to 'proper' English.

Who determines what bad language is?

Is it the same person who determines what is humorous?

If so, Those stupid M&th#rf#ckers got no sense of humor.

Now, I will probably get sh%tcanned for that, but, it is simply the point I am attempting to make.

I don't know anyone here well enough to deliver an honest insult. Yet a generalization like I posted in the sentance above will get me reprimanded. Vegas odds say that I ain't lyin.

The bottom line in all this guys, is that we are simply not going to allow new members to be afraid to post. I'm not speaking of a one on one level here, i'm speaking of the ganging up/hijacking/insulting...etc.

This is an excellent site, a great place for folks to get together, have fun, and meet new people.

Please help the site grow, the next new member, could be your next best friend.

Well if you know you are saying something that will get you in trouble, and then you get in trouble, then thats all down to yourself and you cant blame anyone else!

The mods do have a sense of humour i have found. Some people do lack it yes, but that should be their problem rather than yours.

Bad language is easy to determine. You shouldnt need anyone to tell you what is acceptable to most people, you are an adult.

You can say a lot of stuff here and get away with it. But things like calling people stupid mofo's, is never gonna be taken nicely by the people you are referring to, is it?

Its up to you entirely, you can learn what you can and cant get away with quickly, or you will constantly get in trouble and eventually banned. But its not gonna be solely down to your language, or other people lacking sense of humour, its gonna be the whole thing, and mainly your attitude towards others.

I do see where being comical, and jovial, can make people more at ease, and that is not the problem. The problem is with a select few who seem to find satisfaction in harassing others.

Mods? Well, if you are new here then how do you know who the mods are??? The Mods that I have seen I know from other sites...Uh, makes me sound really lame...moving from site to site..."looking for love in all the wrong places" Or acceptance. Heck, up until four years ago this redneck only knew that "mod" was an abbreviation for A single wide or double wide trailer home...I have a "MOD" they have a dump...

Whenever I greet a newbie, I tell them the truth............ We're all as mad as hatters here, we are all on meds to control whatever it is that ails us ( sporadic outbursts of laughing helplessly at some joke, posting too many dancing bananas etc,etc)

My sign-on date is misleading..I wasn't here a month the first time and I never posted in the forums, and I knew no one else on this site. It was only in Aug that I reactivated my account. Had what happened the other day happened the first time I posted, there is no way I'd still be on this dating site and anyone who would have asked me, I would have told them there wasn't anything but some very nasty rude people on this site....and that's not the case at all!

Lots of "new" people have come here with their friends, so they have their own little support group and that's cool. If dating sites weren't becoming as much of a popular place to "hang out" as it is a dating site then maybe things would be different, but that's not the case. If you've been around long enough to read the forums and post a few times, then one can get some kind if idea and you're on your own...it's those people who might have recently lost a mate for whatever reason, death, divorce, distance...this site could very well be their first try! I don't think anyone has said or implied that we shouldn't have fun here and the heated debates sometimes actually do good..but not to the new guy/gal who has no clue!

My sister lost her husband in May of this year. She married him when she was 16. She's 46 now. She lost her husband and her home 3 months later, she's asked me about getting back out there in the dating field...would I ever recommended this site to her, I still hesitate after some of the things I've seen. The last thing she'd need right now is to get slammed again...even if it would be on a dating site, where some say if you're here you're asking for whatever comes your way.
