Yes you can be just friends with the opposite sex. It happens all the time in real life. Maybe it is an age thing, I am older than you so I see life differently, but I have lots of friends, very close friends who are male and we are just friends.

yes they can. but you have to know the boundaries. some of my closest friends are girls, and it's always been platonic. and the understanding is there. the majority of people will disagree with me, but trust me it's possible, and doesn't matter about looks or sexuality.

Yes, I have many guy friends who are like brothers to me and I'm pretty sure they think of me more like a guy anyway LOL. I even have a few ex's that I have strictly platonic relationships with now. It's definitely possible
