Are you capable of being sexual involved for a long period of time with someone but not becoming emotionally attached?

yes, but you can't hang out with them, you can't "be friends" as in do stuff for and with each other, it is what it is and there's no question about it.

not at this point in my life...maybe right after my divorce...but kind of like Lily said, you can't be hanging out and all. At this point in my life I need more.

If you walk 30 miles and no one gives you a ride and then someone pulls up on a moped, who gives a sh!t. Just take the ride and enjoy it.

I am wondering if women are just wired differently. I had one relationship like that and I think you guys are right as soon as he started trying to get me involved with his day to day life I could no longer separate my emotions.
So I guess my next question would be to the men, can you have that kind of involvement of going out with a woman and still remain emotionally uninvolved? |

I posted a similar question a while back. I was curious about the same thing. It seemed that GENERALLY (not always) more men were able to casually have sex without getting emotionally involved even if the sex continued on for a period of time (not just a one night stand). However, I did get quite a few responses from guys who said they could not.

Men and woman are not wired differently, we are just raised differently, we are taught different values and hold different things important. It's about controling your emotions. Women are taught it's ok to let them out, and men are taught to hold them in. You can have the best of both worlds when you learn which ones and in what situations to be emotional, and what ones to not involve your emotions. |

Nope. Not looking for that type of relationship anyway.

the cut off point for women is right before your body produces copious amounts of Oxytocin......once that happens it's too late...

What is the percentage rate of men that can have a serious conversation about sex?

We are raised to act very differently when it comes to sexuality. "Boys will be boys" but "girls are sluts" etc. But, I also think we are wired differently. Men generally have a sexual thought every minute whereas women generally have a sexual thought maybe once a day. |
