Both of those are great...i guess the thing with zepplin is that they have so many songs that are so good its hard to narrow down to the best...let alone even the top 10...because if Babe Im gonna leave you isn't talked about then cleared we fudged it

Talking about Led Zeppelin. My 3 favorite songs are:
1. Black Dog ( Live How The West Was Won cd set) 2. Since I`ve Been Loving You 3. I Can`t Quit you Baby Then the rest of their music. Led Zeppelin is my favorite "English" Band The Allman Brothers are my favorite "American" Band I like "Classic Rock" Jazz Blues Old top 40 Mid 60`s to mid 70`s before disco. Motown from the 60`s and early 70`s. |

Motown is where its at...back when they were in MOTOWN. So many great songs and artist.
Who can forget the temptations, or sly and the family stone also? Talk about revolutionary songs spanning all generations. Singers of that calibur do not exist in todays day and age. |

I like most music except alot of the top 40 acts that are out now (Rhianna, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, etc) because i'm either burned out from hearing their music so many times a day, or the artist just annoys the hell out of me lol

Top forty stations can kinda do that to ya...they should call them "40 times an hour stations" cuz they play the same damn song like 40 times every hour. I swear theres enough great music from many decades and from all over to where you could go days on end without hearing the same song, yet somehow they manage to play a song sometimes 2 and 3 times in an hour.
I know its about "popular demand" but come on! What about all those songs that don't get airplay so that a "mainstream" song can be played so many times. That's bogus. |

I have a huge and diverse musical collection....although the new country and rap music aren't part of it....I have around 4000 cd's in my collection and counting....and none of it is any of that top40 copycat crap......there is so much good music out there that goes unnoticed!!!!
I so far for rap I only like Cypress Hill and the Warsaw Pack(smart and political rap-ish music) but I would like to broaden my horizens in this genre....any suggestions? My main genre is metal but I will catch myself listening to world/blues/jazz/folk often.... Alot of my music I don't know how to classify.... here are some examples of my crazy taste in music: try them back to back if you dare....haha 1.Opeth-Ottmar Liebart 2.Amon Amarth-U2 3.Pantera-DeadcanDance 4.MarsVolta-Marty Robbins 5.Clutch-Portishead 6.Katatonia-Portugal.the Man 7.Fishbone-Thievery Corp 8.Neurosis-Fleetwood Mac 9.Alexisonfire-Morcheeba 10.Evergreen Terrace-Modest Mouse 11.Isis-The Beta Band 12.Holly Springs Disaster-John Denver 13.Strapping Young Lad-Gordon Lightfoot 14.Converge-Charles Mingus 15.Radiohead-InFlames 16.Deftones-Robert Johnson 17.Tomohawk-The Black Keys 18.Les Claypool-Rabi Abu Khalil 19.Buckethead-Elliot Brood 20.Mastodon-CatPower |
