I found it interesting that McCain had nothing to say about education.Lots of kids with student loans this year who may not be able to complete school because the funds will not be there .I feel this bailout money could have educated a few of our young people instead of giving pedicures to AIG execs.just me?

You could ask Obama about the same thing. Obama voted for the bailout too ya know. It's one of many agreements he and McCain have. I agree about education though. It seems they were both VERY uninformative. I felt like i was wasting my life watching these debates since they avoided many subject areas. The arguments they did make were only a matter of opinion on the situation, not policies to "fix" any systems that have been broken the last 50 years. I did like McCain's plan for vouchers though. I think this would be a positive thing, to not be forced to go to a local school. This will get schools competing. Obama's plan is to tweak and build on Bush's No child left behind policy. He wants to give schools more money and teachers higher salaries (which is part of what he tweaked). |

This doesn't answer your question but it tells me a lot about McCain. Keating 5. Touche Not to mention Palin's tax problem. Guess she didn't read the fine print that all her tax records would be open for the public to read. http://mingle2.com/topic/show/171153 |

What's sad is that im sure you could point many fingers to Obama's funders too....
And the answer to the question about the difference between foreign policies under mccain and obama is "nonexistent". Obama wants more aggressive nation building. He wants to increase aid, both civilian and military related to third world countries. The only difference is that he wants out of Iraq, and he wants pakistan. McCain wants to stay in Iraq and not go into pakistan, but just about everything else agrees with Obama's plan. Both want a "peaceful intervention with Georgia. Don't get me started with the outragious use of money both parties want. Both men are evil....both men are bought...why vote for someone who will do us wrong even ifit will "cause the least damage"? Still supporting someone who isn't right if you ask me. |

Guess she didn't read the fine print that all her tax records would be open for the public to read. http://mingle2.com/topic/show/171153 The only difference between McCain's crookedness and Obama's is the simple fact that McCain's gets more publicity. Obama somehow has more support from the Council on Foriegn Relations, and therefore gets better media coverage. The council pretty much owns all the major media branches. |

McCain was not "completely exhonerated". The Senate Ethics committee gave him a slap on the wrist siting him for "poor judgement". To be "completely exhonerated" would have meant the Ethics Committee would have done nothing.

Please keep this on a debate level everyone, please keep the personal attacks off the boards. Thanks, Mark |

This doesn't answer your question but it tells me a lot about McCain. Keating 5. McCaim is innocent. Nobama is guilty. explain then... Wright, Rezko, Ayers, Acorn. and quit ducking it and hiding behind changing the subject. defend your man. I want to know what nobama will not acknowledge about his ties to these people and ACORN. GIVE IT YOUR BEST SHOT. |

To be "completely exhonerated" would have meant the Ethics Committee would have done nothing. He got off easy. tHEY DID NOT CITE McCain tHAT IS BLUSTER. tHERE WAS NO SANCTION. THERE WAS NO CIVIL OR CEIMINAL PROCEEEDING AGAINST MC CAIN. He recused hinmself of the investigation and recused himself from associating with Keating in his trouble, out of respect for impartiality in the congressional investigation. Keating could not rewrite convertibles due in order to aid his efforts to recapitalize bank reserves of capital, under legal mandate, by commercial banks that successfully lobbied for a change of the rules in capital resaerve backstops for S&Ls. S&Ls cannot borrow friom the discount window of the FRB like commercial banks. The legislation was meant to kill S&L competition for loans when interst rates fell. That was hurting commercial banks and their vested interests. Besides that, S7Ls would be alive and well today. Apparently, no one here understands economics and banking rules. It is no small wonder that nobama fools so many people so much of the time. KOOL AID is to strong for nobama.LOL |

Just as I said.
no one can defend nobama's ties to these four. neither can onbama. precisely why no one should vote for him. |

I have decided to return this thread to the boards, with this understanding folks... I know that tensions are running high with the election drawing near, i am very aware of that. But these things can be discussed without attacking/insulting others. Also, on behalf of the mods and admins, we take no sides. We do ask these things be kept on a debate/discussion level only. Please do not attack others for their opinions. You have a venue here, to voice your opinion, free of charge. All we ask is that you observe the rules. I am serious about this guys, we simply will not tolerate constant attacks on the boards. Thank you for your cooperation, Mark |
