"Share from your heart". But that is not the same as stating an opinion like the rest of us? Gotcha. whoa

Shared from the heart..as the Holy Spirt leads....
based on the Word of God..
not based on Opinion....

Why?
Cause Krimsa...Opinion is why we have so many differernt "versions" of what the Word says..when christians need to be lead of the Holy Spirit , when sharing what the Word says...

OK......

off to grab a few winks...
Hope this clarifies.

Nite nite now.....asleep

So it is "your opinion" that you are not sharing your personal views and interpretations of scripture but the ACTUAL "word of god".and in fact being led by the Holy Spirit on these forums?

Is the word of the Holy Spirit based largely in part on copied and pasted websites in that case?

Hmm. No that does not really clarify anything but good try. happy

It wasnt even a good try. It was the standard response from someone who doesnt have the strength of faith to have it put on show.

It seems her faith comes from copying and pasting, and just proves that the vast majority of people that she speaks for are just like her - sheep who have no original thought and wont have an opinion because they are not allowed to.

Sounds like the subjugation of women all over again - but of course that doesnt happen in the bible, does it?

Coming from people who don't have a clue.....tisk tisk for casting stones at this lovely woman. I get mad, I get pissed and tell you people exactly what I think of your nonesense....I aspire to be able to do it like MS and just from a place of Love.......shame shame all of you.

When your heart is truly coming from the Lord....scripture is the best way.....I go a step further and put it in terms you people may get one day......When she is putting scripture up there to answer...she is always always right on......

Belushi and Krimsa... when I DO "copy and paste" a website on occasion, and SHARE it here.....

it is ONLY because I checked it out thoroughly, to make sure it LINES UP with the WORD of God, BEfore sharing it.

Be Blessed Now.....:heart::heart::heart:

Seems to me you got your original post from a "copy and paste" perspective. Everyone does it - what's the problem? No one's "faith" comes from copy and paste. To even make such an accusation would cause wonder in even considering your posts if you're that naive. And how would you know how anyone developed their faith - since you profess to have none?

It seems that people are making several assumptions, the biggest of which is that the oldest Bible is the most accurate Bible. NOT TRUE! laugh The Codex Sinaiticus was complied by someone at some point in time, right? How do we know that the compiler used the oldest books available at his time? How do we know that the compiler used the purest sources available? How do we know how qualified the compiler was as a translator? How qualified was the translator as a scribe?

That said, all existing Bible manuscripts are at least 85% identical. Most of the variations are word order or spelling. The majority of the remaining variations are omitted verses or parts of verses. The few remaining variations are additional words or verses.

For such an ancient document, it is an undeniable miracle that the manuscripts are so similar, even though they are in different languages and were translated in different cultures.

Taken as a whole, the lessons of the Bible are understandable regardless of the text-type the Bible was translated from.

Well, assuming it's the "OLDEST" bible, all others have to derive from it, otherwise it wouldn't be the "OLDEST".

And if this "OLDEST" bible isn't accurate, how can the others be???????????

No, they don't. Christianity spread like wild fire. There are Bibical manuscripts from all over the middle east. Just because one is the oldest EXISTING doesn't mean it was the oldest EVER. And since Codex Sinaiticus is missing many verses that are included in most other manuscripts, Codex Sinaiticus obviously cannot be the original source. The original source is even older and was widely distributed. Because of the rapid growth of Christianity, the existing cultures and religions persecuted Christians and part of that was destroying all documents related to the religion. Eqypt was spared most of that and the climate in Eqypt is hot and dry, which makes it perfect for preservation of anything. So is it any wonder that the oldest existing Bible is from Eqypt?

How's it going Invisible? Long time no see.

the "oldest bible would be that which x constantine brought into being, if your talking the age of the individual books that ended up there then that's up for debate - i don't think anyone knows for sure.
