Western Union...

This is the company that send money from the U.S to Mexico.

It is like thousands of transaction a day.
Last year, for the first time, they had a few (under 100) transaction that went from Mexico to the U.S. It was to help their relatives in America to pay rent.

Framing Contractors hire them wholesale.

They do the grunt work.

good for me.

They take two men two days to do what I can in one day.

that means they cost the boss $800.

I charge $600 for the job when I am feeling generous. LOL

But nobody's building right now.

Why? Because the developers know prices are falling too fast, so they wait.

not good for me.

worse for illegals.

But when things are rolling, and INS shows up, illegals get the bus ride, the foreman gets his hand slapped and put in the system.

Not good for the foreman. he has just outlived his usefulness to the framing contractor. The next time the foreman gets caught with illegals on the jobsite, he goes to jail for a felony.

The framing contractor feigns innocense because he has photocopies of two IDs in his HR dept.

BULLSH!T

The foreman is let go because he is no longer invisible. This draws unwanted attention that renders the boss culpable in the eyes of the law.

Developers know this game too. OSHA, INS, and any visitor to the jobsite must see the developer's superintendent first. A coded nextel message to the foremen on the site alerts them to scatter the boys while the superintendent chats a bit with the visitors.

Also, they run the gauntlet from job to job.

The supers down the street are warned too and the word passes like wildfire and the jobs seem all clean, tidy, illegal free work zones.

Every industry employing illegals has this grapevine.

It has to stop.

I am not a team player when I dissent and call it out as wrong, but it keeps the jobs rolling and the framer that gets the job done gets the contracts.

Fixing this mess will take some very heavy handed approaches by INS, and law enforcement.

SSI is culpable too.

That's another story.

Wow!!!

It would take real leadership and a real cause to stop it.

I believe the Real justification can be:
We love our neighbors in the South, but we are hurting their country's Civil Development when we are taking care of their poor.

Mexico is not a Poor country.
It is capable of developing a lively economy and market.
By taking on their labor we are stunting their growth as a nation.

Come to think of it... I think with all the money that the Illegal gets from us thru social programs, We are actually getting a great deal with the cheaper underground labor force. Somebody has to crunch the numbers. I believe we are greatly benefiting from this arrangement.
