“Words on a Page”



What my eyes have seen.
I have read words written upon a screen.
Words of praise I left behind.
Never realizing I was so blind.


All one had to do is take the time and edit.
But instead they choose to take the credit.
Beautiful words upon the page they wrote.
They had me from the start with my vote.


Many times I said you need to write a book.
But now after I took the time to look.
I was not only shocked for what I seen.
But found out they fell into a routine.


Did it become so easy to you?
And you were so happy for we did not have a clue.
You never thought that some how some way.
There may actually come a day.


Sooner or later you would be found out.
You thought you had it made and there was no doubt.
But sooner or later karma comes around.
And down you will fall to the ground.


They say the first time you learn.
The second time you will feel the burn.
And the third time is always the charm.
One then wonders what’s the harm.


The harm is when others find out.
You see for they never did doubt.
They thought your words were true.
Not one not even me had a clue.

Great write Kristi. Don't know who this pertains to but shame on him or her. Lucky for us the majority of people posting here are wonderful and creative people.

One did know. How many times? I do not know. The reason why? I do not know. Why, I did not say anything on site? Jesse Jackson syndrome perhaps, keeping hope alive I was not once again with a hypocrite and the perp would see my point of view and cease of his own will, not mine.

Humm confession my dear one you have nothing to confess about. Even I know your words are but your own no one has your style of words

Sometimes there comes a time that we must wait and see if another will speak for themselves. But never in the process are we guilty due to what they choose not to do. We learn from seeing what others do as well from what we do ourselves.
