You cannot prove that ghosts don't exist ( don't even try the same old tired crap of " but there are so many cameras..." ) so you just spout off ' facts ' that have no relevance.

I, unlike you, am open to the opposite possibility. Fortunately for me, I am still open minded enough to entertain the possibility that they DO, in fact, exist. You, on the other hand, cannot seem to open YOUR mind enough to allow for that possibility.

You know I find it funny he never answered me. I wanted to know what he believe if there is no god. Why is it when someone does not believe the same as you they have to throw their 2cents in an them some.. honestly I know a lot of people don't believe in ghost an all that I was not gonna make a post about this because I knew someone would raise hell about it.. so thanks dude! From the sounds of it in the first post the tv was plugged in. The tv at my parents house was UNplugged and came on. Needless to say that tv didn't stay very long after that.

This thread is already many pages long and I don't have the time or inclination to read all the replies; if what I'm going to say has already been said, then I apologize for the repetition.

If you do not have any knowledge of how to get rid of mischevious or malicious entities in your home, there are a few simple things you can do.

One very easy thing you can try is leaving a dish of salt in the area where there has been some activity--like you said something turned the TV on, so put the salt next to the TV. Table salt is ok, but DON'T use sea salt. Kosher salt (you can buy that at the grocery store) works the best.

Leave the dish of salt in the area for 24 hours and then throw it out. Don't pour it in the sink, throw it in the trash, or flush it--throw the salt on the ground or into a drain away from the house. If you have a few dollars, you can do this with a rock crystal instead of salt--it will work better but you still have to throw away the crystal, which many people are unwilling to do.

Anyway, after you do this, keep a close eye out for any further activity. Since the activity seems mostly focused on you, it's PROBABLY (I don't know for sure about something like this until I've seen it for myself) a poltergeist.

If it comes back after you've cleaned out the area, then you should just take the plunge and consult someone who has some experience in dealing with the paranormal. A person who is responsible and compassionate will not charge you an arm and a leg, and many will give you a free initial consultation. Like every other type of service, there are good ones and bad ones, so you should shop around and try to get references if possible.

I doubt if you have anything really to be afraid of, but on the other hand this is not something you want hanging around your house. In my opinion, you should try to get rid of it.
