You did good all I'm saying is in the first place you made the comment they were considering more Mods for the reason to censorship the threads even more. Which is not the case actually we are fair with decisions and they see no need to censorship any more then what we do. What the plan is for is in order to have more Mods for the simple reason Mods are not here at any certain times. Therefore there are times that no Mods are online to help take care of the problems that arise. Therefore finding Mods that are on very late at night or during the night will help eliminate that problem in the long run. No one at any time said they were going to crack down if any thing else in case some have not noticed there is a lot that the members get away with saying here they would not on another site. Van & Mike do not want to totally censorship the Threads they are more concerned with members attacking another then anything. That is what the Mods mainly deal with and 90% of the time that is what members get warnings, suspensions or banned for. So I can't see where that is a bad idea without that happening these threads would end up a free for all.  so can we have a say what you want, speak your mind free for all thread, that would be interesting indeed

Thats not an offer! I work nights so am up the same times as you yanks anyway! Great suggestion...too bad its not an offer

I know what you mean and looking at that front page of meet the mods, it does appear to be quite a few of us. But with our different timezones and schedules less then half of us are ever on here all at once. We really do work as a team and work hard not to over-moderate. But I believe you will find moderation on any dating/chat site. |

Everyone is allowed to have there opinion just as you are here on censorship.
When it comes to be a problem is when others are outright attacking other members then you are no longer heard in the long run. Instead all anyone sees is where they have attacked someone else. When a subject is presented such as the one you have here. If you noticed they all stayed on the subject did not start calling you names for your opinion. Instead they said how they felt about the situation instead. That is the way the threads should be. Yeah some will get off topic and cut up at times but go back to them. I have seen many times where the attacking gets so bad it is ridiculous and yes these are suppose to be Adults. But what most do not consider this is a owned web site that belongs to someone else. They have taken the time to build it in order for others to come together and enjoy each others company. Not to get bashed or treated like dirt as if it is a free for all. It is out of Respect to follow the Sites Rules just like if someone came into your home you would expect them to Respect your home as well. Therefore there are Rules for a reason and one must admit the rules for this site is not that hard to comply by. As long as one stays within the rules of the site then they can say what they want to. There are ways to get ones opinion across to others with out attacking them for their opinion and to have others listen to them. In life every where we go there are Rules you either choose to follow them or you suffer the consequence am I not right? So why should a website not be the same way? |

But........do all do that  instead they go off on another calling them names cursing them out ect... Posting things about another member that possible could be untrue these are the things we watch out for. Those are the ones for the reason of Moderation!! |

I understand what your saying and if you have not seen the attacks then kuddos to you for always being on the right threads. For you would be amazed at what is said on the Threads at times.
Believe me since being a Mod I have seen things said that made me cringe at times and I work for a construction company all male. I promise you I can out talk the best of them and come back on a dime but when they make me say OMG they have really went off the deep end. I have had that happen more then once here. I'm surprised by some of the actions that some take and to the extreme they go. |
