"In reflex tests of 46 political partisans, psychologists found that conservatives were more likely than liberals to be shocked by sudden threats.

Accompanying the physiological differences were deep differences on hot-button political issues: military expansion, the Iraq war, gun control, capital punishment, the Patriot act, warrantless searches, foreign aid, abortion rights, gay marriage, premarital sex and pornography."

The neocons were also considerably slower than liberals... (OK,I made that part up...)

That's because the liberals are stoned out rejects with no moral structure.

You know that scene in "Platoon" with the stoners and the beer drinkers? Not much difference except for the propensity to violence of the PBR monkeys. There's your moral structure.

You bore me. Your opinions and beliefs change on who's around. Hope you leave after November.

I hope to leave sooner. This isn't challenging, just fun. As for my "beliefs," I don't just mindlessly support one side. When the Democrats are wrong, they're wrong. Most of the neocons on this site have no objectivity. None.

No. Most choose not to argue with someone who wouldn't change their mind if smacked in the face with the truth. Please tell us what makes you the all knowing authority on what's right and what's wrong. And how did you come to this conclusion?

I'm not. I state opinion like everyone else. Is it safe to "assume" you don't agree much with me?

I would say that both sides lack objectivity, the difference is that the liberals don't act like drunk badgers when defending their side of the false paradign.

Yea, 46, that is a reasonable test pool right there. Not to mention they are all political partisans so it has no bearing on the general population.

Not if they think they have the numbers on their side...

I've always said, this applies to both sides of the duopoly, that you can never underestimate the power of ignorant people in large groups.

True...

Worse is when you have smart people in large groups with ignorant agendas.

Usually those smart people are surrounded by lots of the ignorant ones... Ever heard of a Judas goat?

Well, please tell me on what basis you determine a person to be ignorant? And, are you the one in authority to say what is or is not an ignorant person? How do you make this determination?

I have always been of the opinion that 'ignorant' refers to 'uninformed, badly informed, unaware and/or rude.'

To which definition are you referring to and, again, how do you determine this factor?

That platoon reference may have applied during the Vietnam era but now?? I don't find myself on either of those sides do you? if you do you must be extreme left or extremely uneducated.

I dont care what some village idiot burning a flag and acting stupid in the street of some no name craphole in the desert says. They dont scare me. I dont understand why it scares anyone.

Of course they scare more easily.

The George Bush Jr. Administration and their brown-nosing sycophants at Faux News have been playing to these fears for over 7 years.
