I hate chatting on here sometimes because what you might be saying isn't as much as it may seem to some people sometimes. Not so much if you might not agree with somones opinion, but when your expressing yourself in a general way and who your doing it with may not understand at first and take it as if it's more deep then what it actually is. Hope i'm making some sence here

When your chating by email or on the forum. Alot of the time if you don't use the right smiley somone will take what you might be saying further then what it really is. Not that it is a bad thing all the time, because some time you can see where somone stands with you whether you were looking for it or not. I guess also that it's hoiw you word things at times to. Anyway,

Do you actually take the time in some situations and try to explain yourself. Or, do you just let somone think what they think and go on your way?

That actually confused me for a bit, but ya I hate it when you say something to someone and they take it the wrong, it makes everything all weird and Ackward lol.

i think you are right lately i have seen some people's words get taken way out of context and and that leads to massive problems.... People who know you well will know the difference but to others it might be a direct hit or insult

I always try to make the other understand my point of view even if it differes from theirs. Nothing wrong with having different opinions as long as you remain civil to each other.

Well, depends on if the person truely does not understand or if they are just making it an issue because they can. If I am talking to someone I want to really connect with or someone that I know, and they take something wrong I will set it right. Sometimes for others I just let it go. There opinion doesnt really matter.

Typing words into a computer doesn't give the intended target any reference to the emotion behind the words and, if misunderstood, it would only be polite to try and clarify. But, I couldn't agree with you more about "if someone gets ya they get ya, if they don't they don't". If a misunderstanding occurs, and you've tried to explain, and they still don't get it, it's time to move on. Or, if they just don't get your way of thinking, it's time to move on. Thank you for reminding me of that!

Oh its a simple solution to a simple problem of people with simple minds. Stoop to their 8th grade education level. First you put in a legal disclaimer as such......(This is a disclaimer which does not constitute nor intend to insult your intellegence or insinuate anything further than simple opinion because I can't read your mind or relay the outcome of your common thought processes and hold harmless myself and my opinion less liable to your unpredictable behavior. In other words- don't take anything I say seriously you f*cking dimwitted retard; because I'm just joking around you nimwitted twit).

Next you step back in evolution and define your statements to said caveman or cavewoman. Grunt if necessary. S-P-E-L-L things out for the slow if applicable. Put yourself in their shoes and try hard to relate. Pretend you are an ameoba or some other single cell organism or invertebrate creature. If all else fails use your preschool education "D!ck and Jane" books for guidance. "What I mean is....see d!ck. Jane broke up with d!ck because d!ck was a d!ck. He used jane only for her spot. Jane was tired of d!ck. She told him to Go d!ck Go!!!!"

I usually try to put in some sort of qualifier/disclaimer like "in my experience" or "from what I've seen" just to let them know I'm not talking about people outside of those parameters.

If they still don't get it, screw 'em. Not my problem at that point.

And last but not least if all fails.....retreat. There's no dignity or pride lost when you're argueing with a complete idiot that should have been institutionalized long ago. Someone whose so inept and incapable, you wonder how they made it this far in life. Someone so unworldly stupid you go to www.darwinsawards.com to see if they are being nominated for future achievements or honorable mentions. These people are guilty of being the dumbest of the dumb. They get on here and use the site as their little playground to solicit sympathy and apathy to their stupidity. Then they ask for advice. Then when they get a group of people who give them advice they don't like they tell them they don't care about our opinions and start attacking the people that are trying to help! Some people are overly chronic depressant, negative, pessimistic head cases who think we are their shrinks because their loser lazy welfare sucking jobless bum asses can't afford a real shrink but they suck off our taxes and hidden fees and depend on charitible organizations to pay their phone bill, electric bill, and internet bill. Why? Because they are special and feel they are ENTITLED to do whatever they feel like their whimsy desires. I used to start crap with the malcontents. Then I realized I was just as stupid as them for my selfishness for a few cheap thrills for taunting the stupid person as they were in using me as their playtoy psychologist/ psychiatrist/ hand holder/ ass wiper/ caring listener/ audience. Lesson learned? Pity the stupid. Be greatful you're not them. Count your blessings.

And if all else fails and you still want to communicate or relate to the retarded alien life forms? Get a lobotomy. Then act like a stark raving lunatic. Say "DUH!" a lot. Make fart sounds- "Ppppppffffttt!!!!" use emoticons as letters in the alphabet. Make constant references to vegetables and television drama series. Pat yourself on the back constantly for doing everyday things like taking out the garbage or brushing your teeth. And scare the living crap out of your psyche. Ha ha ha ha!!!
