Someone tell me I'm wrong. okay. you're wrong (well you DID ask) Do you actually take the time in some situations and try to explain yourself. Or, do you just let somone think what they think and go on your way? it depends on how passionate the topic on hand is to me. if i'm being serious, i'll try to explain myself well, and re-try if i'm not understood if the person isn't even listening to what i have to say, i'll just either retreat or start poking fun there's only so much beating a dead horse can take. |

Sometimes it makes you wonder if the keepers at the zoo are getting drunk at work and letting "CHIMPS GONE WILD!" on their laptops. Can you see that chimp lighting a smoke, drinking a beer, and typing "I'm bored- someone entertain me!"

I hate chatting on here sometimes because what you might be saying isn't as much as it may seem to some people sometimes. Not so much if you might not agree with somones opinion, but when your expressing yourself in a general way and who your doing it with may not understand at first and take it as if it's more deep then what it actually is. Hope i'm making some sence here  When your chating by email or on the forum. Alot of the time if you don't use the right smiley somone will take what you might be saying further then what it really is. Not that it is a bad thing all the time, because some time you can see where somone stands with you whether you were looking for it or not. I guess also that it's hoiw you word things at times to. Anyway, Do you actually take the time in some situations and try to explain yourself. Or, do you just let somone think what they think and go on your way? Depends on the person, if I care about them, and what they think of me, I explain, if I think they are a jackass I let them think whatever they want, it doesn't effect me in the slightest.  Does that go there? |

Depends on the person, if I care about them, and what they think of me, I explain, if I think they are a jackass I let them think whatever they want, it doesn't effect me in the slightest. Exactly -- the reality is that 99% of us are never going to meet anyone from this site, and the other 1% are still never going to meet 99% of the rest. How much impact can people have on your life when they only exist as words and pictures on a screen? Not to say you can't develop friendships and grow closer to them -- but their viable impact on your real-life life is almost always going to be slightly less than negligible. Someone 3000 miles away is not going to come out at 2:30 in the morning to help you change your flat tire on the expressway. |

I joke about a lot in the forums and sometimes my jokes are taken the wrong way. I am new around here so will often put in an 'im only joking' disclaimer, but i feel its often obvious that i am just messing and dont do this. I know i have offended someone around here recently, but im not going to try and justify myself to them as it is someone that has known me for a long time and should know much better. |
