how can someone want to manage the whitehouse and deal with other presidents of other countries and they cannot control what goes on in their own house or her children. a 17 year old who is pregnant needs to be in school finishing off their studies, not pregnant with a child. obviously this woman is not ready to lead america into presidency - america is at risk of being with her leadership as well. i do not vote, nor will i vote because i do not live in the usa but, like the rest of the world we have our own opinions and this is mine - she should return to alaska and keep the borders there intact from russia. she is not fit for the whitehouse. wow.... a liberal society wants abortions and not teen pregnancies at the cost of moral terpitude and self ritheous judgements belittling the unborn as unwanted and inconvenient distractions due the parents of children sent the mixed signals of modern day herky jerky sex educatiuon and free condoms and 'susie's other mom'. If she wasn't a conservative christian woman with a traditional family, she would not be blasted for stepping out in the world, and anyone bashing her would be guilty of fascist hate speech. hhmmmm...... I will stick with Mrs. Sarah Palin's judgement and accept that she knows best what she can handle, as far as committing herself to be diligent in serving her country as called upon to do so by her peers. let's vote on it in November, shall we??????   Thats odd ,I thought it was Palins daughter that was pregnant I didnt know she was liberal yes, mirror, her daughter is the one that is pregnant, and yes, Sarah Palin is a conservative. Now, try to read my post's sacrcasm through a different filter and you will see my muse as it was intended in delivery. peace.

i do not vote, nor will i vote because i do not live in the usa but, like the rest of the world we have our own opinions and this is mine - she should return to alaska and keep the borders there intact from russia. she is not fit for the whitehouse. don't forget we are talking about someone possibly becoming the president and therefore she needs all the scrutiny there is because she might be the leader of a great nation. she is not just an ordinary mother who has a pregnant teenager, she could very well be the president and should set the best of examples. she is a misfit for the white house and this is my firm opinion. Right like the way we scrutinized Bush and the way his companies went out of business because he couldn't run them effectively.... So let's put him in office to ruin OUR economy... SUPER. I'm moving to Ughanda. |

I'd much rather make her family hands off, unless it's stuff like her husband billing the state for his own personal crap.
I'd much rather focus on the issues, like her statement that the War in Iraq is a mission from God... Whose God? The God I went to sunday school to learn about demanded that we shalt not kill. Is that a matter of convienence? Is it, thall shalt not kill unless you worship another god than I do? How about her abuses of power? When was the last VP choice to have a court date before an election day? How about her ignorance in Foriegn Policy? There are school children who can explain the Bush Doctrine, as it applies to foriegn policy. It's main point is the use of Preemptive war and a need to maintain American Hegemony. I think she got tapped more for her photogenic qualities than anything else, McCain smiles and small children hide behind their mothers. But hey, what do I know, I'm just some guy behind a key board. |

Sarah Palin was mayor of her hometown of Wasilla, the town forced sexual assault victims to foot the bill for their own rape kits, the Anchorage Daily News reported. Palin was in office for four year of the practice until it drew the ire of state lawmakers, who passed a bill to end it in 2000. Former Democratic Rep. Eric Croft sponsored the bill and said he was disappointed that asking the Wasilla police department to stop didn't work. He added that it is unlikely Palin wasn't aware of the policy. Former Gov. Tony Knowles said Wasilla was the city which sparked the complaints that led to the bill, McClatchy reported. "There was one town in Alaska that was charging victims for this, and that was Wasilla," Knowles said, answering a reporter's question. Maria Comella, a spokeswoman for the McCain-Palin campaign, denied that the Alaskan governor ever supported the policy. She said Palin "does not believe, nor has she ever believed, that rape victims should have to pay for an evidence-gathering test." To suggest otherwise, she said, is a "misrepresentation of her commitment to supporting victims and bringing violent criminals to justice." The Anchorage Daily News quoted Wasilla police chief Charlie Fannon as objecting to the legislation which overturned his department policy of making the rape victims pay for their own examinations. The Wasilla Police Department estimated that the cost of paying for the rape kits itself came to between $5,000 and $14,000 a year, Associated Press reported. "In the past we've charged the cost of exams to the victims' insurance company when possible," Fannon told the newspaper. "I just don't want to see any more burden put on the taxpayer." The kits include swabs, containers and medical supplies and are used to collect evidence from sexual assault victims after they are attacked, the Associated Press reported. During her acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, Palin criticized Sen. Barack Obama's history as a community organizer. "I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a community organizer, except that you have actual responsibilities." As The Chicago Tribune's political blog The Swamp put it: "Is it fair to assume those responsibilities included setting policy for the town police department, particularly when it acted in a manner she disagreed with?" Media outlets have not yet reported on this issue though Illinois Rep. The subpoenas are "part of the investigation into whether the Republican vice presidential candidate abused her power in trying to get her former brother-in-law fired," writes Gene Johnson for the AP. Johnson quotes retired prosecutor Stephen Branchflower saying of Todd Palin: "He's such a central figure. ... I think one should be issued for him." He adds that Branchflower "said he wants to interview Palin herself, but did not ask for a subpoena for her." Rhonda Schwartz and Justin Rood at ABC News' "Blotter" blog described the proceedings that led to the subpoenas: In a nondescript conference room filled to capacity, a Republican-dominated panel of lawmakers voted to issue subpoenas to force testimony by Alaska 'First Gentleman' Todd Palin and a dozen current and former state officials, including aides to Gov. Palin, to determine whether she had misused her authority in firing one of her commissioners in July. The so-called "Troopergate" probe, write Schwartz and Rood, "was prompted by Palin's July 11 firing of her former public safety commissioner, Walt Monegan, after he refused to dismiss Mike Wooten, a state trooper who was Palin's ex-brother-in-law.
