how can someone want to manage the whitehouse and deal with other presidents of other countries and they cannot control what goes on in their own house or her children. a 17 year old who is pregnant needs to be in school finishing off their studies, not pregnant with a child. obviously this woman is not ready to lead america into presidency - america is at risk of being with her leadership as well.

i do not vote, nor will i vote because i do not live in the usa but, like the rest of the world we have our own opinions and this is mine - she should return to alaska and keep the borders there intact from russia. she is not fit for the whitehouse.

oh you mean like mayor miller (he's toronto's mayor for those who don't know, where the OP lives) who left the scene of a huge propane explosion to 'go back to my daughter's birthday party'? that sort of leader who puts his family first

is it okay if i laugh out loud?

Gov. Palin's "home affairs" are none of our business, unless they somehow have betrayed the public trust (or budget). As the father of a 19 y/o single mom, I'd be horrified if my daughter were made political fodder to disparage me.

I think when a person is asking for their responsibility, judgement, and planning to be assessed as something you would or would not vote for them to take charge of your future you are entitled to include their personal life includeing the job they did or did not do as a parent. If Palin would have declined the nomination and waited to run four years from now when her child and grandchild and the special needs infant have passed this demanding period I might have researched her professional career and voted for her. I don't know that much about her platform that is the bottom line for me. However how she has managed her committment to parenting makes me question her ability to committ to me; or my children, or grandchildren.

I don't believe I said I would dis-allow anyone running for public office but to vote for this candidate in her over all situation to possibly be running the country where I live? Not going to happen.

You absolutely did right here....

I go to the first in time first in line concept. You loose certain priveleges when you become a parent and have to set aside or delay some of your plans in the best interest of the family

so now shes not finishing school? I suppose no one under age gets pregnant in canada

don't forget we are talking about someone possibly becoming the president and therefore she needs all the scrutiny there is because she might be the leader of a great nation. she is not just an ordinary mother who has a pregnant teenager, she could very well be the president and should set the best of examples. she is a misfit for the white house and this is my firm opinion.

Ok, you know no parent can really control if their kid is having sex or not right? Yea, everytime a kid gets pregnant it is the parents fault. Lets also blame them for their kids not paying attention in class, or talking too much in the halls, or playing basketball after school instead of doing their homework. Why stop there? How about all their poor decisions at their jobs and at college after HS graduation?

Oh wait but to hear the right wing republicans talk it IS all the parents fault. The parents who are liberal are at fault, the parents who do not go to an "approved" church are at fault, parents who have to go to work to support their families are at fault or (lets get down to the nitty gritty with what they say) those parents who lay around on the government handout and teach their kids this lifestyle on welfare, etc... are at fault. It goes on and on. So under the REPUBLICAN "RULES" Palin is at fault for her daughters indiscretions. She is republican, right? She must live by the rules she applies to everyone, right?

I don't know what republican rules you are talking about. Either way though, you are claimnig two wrongs make a right. Very hypocritical if you ask me.

As for welfare, I am sure most blame the system not the parents.

Aw, a rightwinger in denial. I am not surprised at all.

Lol, I am surprised that you have yet to realize that I think people are responsible for themselves. Not the parents, or the government, or the other citizens.
