This sucks, but maybe it's karma for the "cheating" thing. Sadly, there are many Patriots haters very happy about this. Still, it takes 53 guys and this adversity will really test the team and the coach. In a strange way, this may actually help the team shake a SuperBowl hangover and unite them to succeed w/o their leader. Obviously Cassell's play will be a huge factor in what kind of season they'll have.

I'm rambling because THIS SUCKS!

We have Matt Cassel as Brady's back up.
Now as much as it suuuuucks to lose Brady for the season, I'm trying to be positive about Cassel.

He has Randy Moss to throw to...
He has been studying under (imo) the best QB in the league for 4 years...
He has Belichick's offense in front of him and his system to work with...

I think we will be ok. It puts bowl contention up as a huge question mark but I would be genuinely shocked if we dont at least make the playoffs.

Seen the footage a few times, and I agree that it was a clean hit. Just one of those hits that "can" happen, and unfortunately it happened to Brady. I hate for the guy. But this is the NFL, and injuries like this happen.

Matt Cassell should be fine. He knows the offense, has plenty of weapons to throw to, and all he has to do is not try and become "Tom Brady". I expect that Maroney is gonna be carrying a bigger load now, which is no biggie. If Moss is on your fantasy team, then don't expect HUGE numbers this year. But the Pats should be fine.

Hey I'm all for sticking with your guys, but don't blame a dirty hit if it was not so.

Jets have no excuses now, the division is theirs for the taking.
Excuse me while I shed a tear for Belicheck..ok all done now.

The Jets do not have a lock on this division. Buffalo looks to be a very strong team and the Pats are still extremely well equipped.

On the contrary, I am not happy that Brady suffered an injury. I find zero thrill in someone getting hurt. From a human perspective, it affects someone's well being. From a competitive perspective, I would only want to beat the best. The Patriots, while still very very good, are hurt by his loss. Somehow, victory or loss against the Patriots holds less value than when Brady was healthy.

As for my thoughts on Belichick...I do not actually wish for him to tear his ACL or sustain bodily harm. I would assume that one could read through the lines and understand that. I am simply not thrilled with a guy. He is a fantastic coach and I readily agree that cheating is a part of all sports spread out over numerous teams. It is all about the edge. However, and perhaps to your enjoyment, he has worn out his welcome to New York fans for his slap in the face to the New York Jets several years back.

Well you should thank him for being the mentor of your head coach. I'm never going to wish the Jets well - but I have respect for Mangini because of who he learned his craft from.

After Sundays game I think that the Pats will be just fine...

Yeah there were a lot of screens done, but when Tom set the PlayOff pass completion record, something like 26 of 28...seams like 24 were screens...

Cassel and the Pats are going to be just fine...
