This thread is my church of Brutal Truth and Honesty. It is for fun.

There may be sermons and then the floor will be open for questions.

The sermon to day is about attitude.

<SERMON>

Change your attitude if you want to change your life. When you truly change your attitude, you change the way you look at and think about things. A change of thinking can change your personal experience and your personal reality.

</end of sermon>

The floor is open for questions from the High Priestess of Brutal truth and honesty.

I will answer your question by drawing a Tarot Card.

The Magician:

The magician is a creative energy where a person is learning how to take whatever tools they have access to and create exactly what they want in their life. It is the energy that states a condition where a person is beginning to learn how to manifest what they want. It is the beginning stages of the law of attraction at work.

Card drawn is the Queen of wands. Here is my interpretation according to your question and the card drawn:

Because it is wands.... Creativity.

A: To develop your creative skills.

Because it was a woman (queen)....Love

A: To learn love and compassion.

Attitude adjustment.

Does the High Priestess (may warm oil be upon her) think that in any given group, as human beings have the need to belong, any attitude adjustment would normally preclude said adjustee from ceratin activities within that group.

Example.
Lets say, in the unlikely event, any of the god squad here decided that we were right, and god was, indeed, a figment of their imagination.
Do you think that they would brave their peer group of squaddies and tell them that they are leaving the church of the poisoned mind and pursuing life-long happiness by using the bible only as a door wedge to the crapper?

How would their peer group react?
Would the enlightened ex-squaddie be able to handle the shock, horror and subsequent lessening of social acceptance.

Card Drawn: four of pentacles:

The is the card of attachment. It indicates that attachments are extremely difficult to break and people cling to their beliefs and each other for the sake of belonging to the group.

The answer this card indicates is that many people will remain with their church group regardless of their change of beliefs, which will become secondary to the importance of the group.

The peer group itself will pray for the one who successfully leaves the group and they may attempt to bring them back into the fold up to a point.

Rare is the person who walks their path alone.

So unless there is a traumatic event in which the person sees that ludicrous nature of their religion, they are doomed to be drawn back in to their cults?

A true change in your core belief is a traumatic event, so yes.

I speak of doubts and uncertainty for the ones who remain with the group.

No one is doomed. Everyone will do what they chose to do. I am only saying what "generally" happens. Generally people will choose to stay with the group even if their beliefs are not quite in line with them.

It requires a strong will to walk away from the group, and a determined person.

RARE IS HE who walks his path alone.

Its not impossible, just rare.

I don't need a deck of tarot cards to tell you the answer to this one. I was a born again Christian. I later changed my mind and left the church.

The reaction was simple. They denied that I had ever been born again in the first place. They simply denied that I had ever been "one of them". They simply claimed that I was never sincere and that the whole thing was just a fraudulent act on my part.

That's their stance.

Why they can't see the folly in that I'll never know.

Clearly I had not been fradulent. Why would I have grown up in a Christian family and pretended to worship Jesus Christ for years. Then finally go to the alter and ask Jesus to come into my life. And spend the next few years after that trying to understand why Jesus failed to keep his promises before I finally tossed in the towel?

Just to fraudulently mislead the congregation of my church? huh

Those people must truly be paranoid if they can honestly believe that.

No wonder they don't consider leaving the chruch. They're scared to death of even think the thought! To just think a thought like that is a sin! It's entertaining the thought of turning their back on Jesus! They would be like Judas!

Or didn't you know that?

It's a brainwashing thing. The very thought of 'abandoning' Jesus is considered betrayal.

Don't even think it!

Much less actually consider it!

<Sermon>

Today's sermon is about vibration. In using the law of attraction to create your experience of reality, vibration is the key

You are a vibrational Being in a vibrational Environment.

You can feel whether you are allowing your full connections to Source Energy or not. The better you feel, the more you are allowing your connection to source, the worse you feel, the less you are allowing your connection.

Feeling good equals allowing the connection, feeling bad equals not allowing the connection. Feeling bad equals resisting the connection to your source.

You are, even in your physical expression of flesh. blood and bone, a "Vibrational being" and everything you experience in your physical environment is vibrational. It is only through you ability to translate vibration that you are able to understand your physical world at all.

In other words, through you eyes, you translate vibration into that which you see. Using your ears, you translate vibration into that which you hear. Even your nose, tongue and fingertips are translating vibrations into the smells, tastes and touches that help you understand your world.

But your most sophisticated interpreters by far are your emotions. Your emotions, and how you feel are your vibrational interpreters and they will let you know if you are in touch with your Source.

If you are in touch with your source, you have the power to create your reality and you are attracting into your life the things you desire.

This is one of the secrets of knowing what you are attracting into your experience.

</End of Sermon>

Any questions will be answered. Answers will be based around the energy of a single tarot card drawn.

I don't need a deck of tarot cards to tell you the answer to this one.

The reason I am using one card to base an answer around is not because I "need" a card or deck of cards to answer a question.

This is simply an exercise (or practice) in the different ways one can interpret the energy of the present moment (and situation) in regards to the question asked, based around the card drawn which reflects that energy.

Its great practice in learning the Tarot.bigsmile drinker flowerforyou

Any question is allowable. I can't guarantee you will be happy with the answer though.

Regarding washing machine spin speeds:

Card Drawn: Five of wands. "COMPETITION"

The five of wands is about competition. Washing machine spins speeds is about competition.

My own: I imagine mine is not the top of the line because for speeds at the top of the line such as 1400 RPM, you will usually pay about $100.00 dollars extra. Whether it is worth it or not I don't know. I would guess that mine is about 800 RPMs. (I just remembered it is not a new machine, so it may have slowed down from even that.)

Spin speeds on washing machines are more about variations in pricing than about power or size of the motor. The higher speeds may even wear out sooner, but at 1400 RPM's your clothes will be dryer as they come out of the machine.

For more information about spin speeds on washing machines you can visit
