Topic: Happy with yourself? | |
---|---|
We read a lot of people who ask why they can't find someone, we also read success stories. Here is a chance to say how you are doing with dating/relationships at this moment in your life.
Are you happy? Sad? Why do you feel either emotion? |

I've only actually met with one man and I'm not real pleased with him. Why? His profile says "don't be shy, just ask, I've come to far to lie" Well he lied. We talked on the phone and emailed for a while then we met in person. He is a great guy with a great personality and we hit it off immediately, but in the end all he really wanted was a one night stand. Once he found out it wasn't happening he got cold and says he needs time off and he'll call me later. Replied don't bother. But since he is the first one I really allowed into my world, I won't give up yet. LOL

I'm happy with myself, but I hate being single.
I don't want to be joined at the hip with someone, but I would like to have someone steady in my life. I miss being able to talk to someone (other than girlfriends) about the import things that happen in my life and the silly, trivial things too. |

What do you mean "WE READ"...you and who else? You(the reader) and I(the writer). This world works best with "we's". |

Life is good here. I get out on dates fairly often. My only problem is sifting through all of the female frogs!

It has been easy finding people to chat with, and even a few good coffee dates that I don't regret.
It is not finding that one amazing connection. I'ts all good. I am patient. |

I'm happier than I have ever been in my whole life. All I can say is that sometimes you find exactly what you need when you just relax and stop worrying about it.

I havent dated much in the last few years. Part of that was due to health issues, but also because I was unsure of how find someone who was simply a nice guy. I have chatted with what I though were nice guys, only to have them send me unrequested nude photos, etc. The last date I went on was nice, then, of all things, I ended up getting sick and went into the hospital the next day. I think my friend was a little freaked out, and even though he was very sweet, he stopped returning my emails. I got the message. Who wants to start a relationship/friendship like that? I made bad choices throughout my life, had a horrible marriage, and now, I lack self assurance. I don't need someone to rescue me, just be a friend, with no expectations. I know how to be a wonderful friend in return. I feel a little short changed, like life is passing me by. Does that make any sense?

It all sucks for me, as usual.

I had an experience where I met a guy on a phone chat line..(don't ask, I don't know why I tried that..) and we decided to meet. He took me to dinner, for a walk on the beach, we had a nice evening. Then, a few days later, my phone rings, I see his work cell phone number on the screen, so expecting him, I answer. It wasnt him...it was a woman, who explained to me she was his wife and she wanted to know who I was. He told me he was separated, in the process of a divorce. All total lies. He proceeded to send me flowers at my job and call me, full of apologizes. All I could think was "why me?".

Well, i am in a successful relationship with someone i met online and i couldnt be happier, we were good friends for about a yr, we already had a friendship love, then when we met, it turned to romantic love.
I was at a time of my life where i was happy being single, in fact, i felt safer, so i wasnt looking for a relationship at all. And thats why i believe it comes to u when u dont look. I had prioritized other areas of my life over a relationship, then a time came where i just fell in love. Theres somebody for everybody, it comes when the time is right, and not before, but it does come. |

I'm sure it pays to be a nice guy to the right women but it is total hell when they are not. I am unpleased with the fact I had let someone treat me like total **** for so long.
At times it is better to to be single. |
