Once again I have a desision to make, do I go & sit by myself in a resturant, go thru a drive thru or just eat an apple & some p nut butter home alone? Meal times suck when you are single. I want to make a salad & some tea while someone is out on the deck burning a steak.

I hear ya though! I fortunately love salads but geez oh man...they do get old don't they?! I loved to cook but for one, it's difficult! |

I find it very entertaining to be surrounded by people when Im eating alone..I love watching the couples...from the very new "still in love" kids to the "been together way too long" couple that dine silently..looking more alone, lost and lonely than I could ever feel in that moment...it gives me peace and reassures me that my situation is not as bad as I think it is.. When how I see things changes, then what I see changes.... |

I think I've got a unique solution!
I am learning to be a vegetarian and I have a really good friend that is one also. Every time I make a new dish I call him up and share! |

I have a grill but no deck. I have a nice deck it needs to be leveled & stained right now. I need someone to help with that & then hang out with me & enjoy it. |

Forget cooking and take out. Go out by yourself and hit a great restaurant! I go out and eat alone and it's not about the company you keep, but the food you eat!

When I go out to dine, I usually take a book with me or a newspaper and read as I eat...makes me look more busy than lonely

I hear ya though! I fortunately love salads but geez oh man...they do get old don't they?! I loved to cook but for one, it's difficult! Somehow I gained 9 pounds this summer & I mostly ate salads. I didn't have bacon bits & fatty dressings either. I am tired of salads. I want to have a bbq or go out for pizza & beer! & I want someone to talk to while I am eating, then go for a walk holding hands! |

I know what you mean though! I wish he was interested in me instead of just hitting my house for take out food! But at least its nice to share! |

I love to cook, but coking for one sucks big time! It sure does & then you have to clean up alone too. I miss someone kissing me on top of the head & telling me the dishes can wait... |
