I usually do the book thing when I go out to eat alone, but then I end talking to the waitstaff for most of the time. Either they are trying to make sure that everything is okay or they are at a slow point in the night and just want to have some small talk....

Doesn't bother me anymore.flowerforyou

I want Flounder stuffed with crab imperial & HUSHPUPPIES in a dining room overlooking the ocean, then a bonfire with beer & SOMORES.

If ya ever make it back to NC we'll have to do this.
The coast is only an hour or so away

Merlin, don't think you are safe saying that because I am so far away...bigsmile

North Carolina.

Ok, NC...here we come! So much more pleasant there anyhow!

NC is great! I lived in Greenville for a few years.

My ex wife was born in Texas. Her family moved to Greenville, NC. Her father was a professor at ECU. I married her in that city. Her brothers and sisters still live there.

The traffic in Greenville has gotten ridicules.
It's almost like driving in downtown Raleigh now.
With more students opting to go to ECU and Pitt hospital growing more everyday.

One thing I do do...is if I make a meatloaf for us...I usually will make one large and freeze half or I make two smaller ones and freeze one. And I will make spaghetti sauce and chili in large batches and freeze in smaller portions for us two.

It was a pretty quiet city while I was there. Do they still have the "blue laws"? If they do, that's got to be hard on Sundays when watching a Panther's game. Oh yeah, the Pack and the Panthers have had some pretty good games. Great team you have there!

They've done away with the "blue laws"

I remember when no alcohol was sold at all on Sundays.
That really sucked. Now you can buy beer on Sundays.
After 12 noon

laugh There was a quiet part of the city, but then again, MTV was there for the famous downtown Halloween party one year, & Playboy stopped listing ECU in thier top 10 party schools list, because they are in a leauge of thier own!

I remember that. ECU was THE #1 party school.
That's the only reason a lot of the students even went there.

The Downtown party grows more every year.
Last year the reports were that over 15,000 people were downtown.

I know to some people reading this post will say "So, that's not a lot of people" But as hen knows, downtown Greenville isn't very big.
