Topic: Men= Crazy in Love??? | |
---|---|
Guys go head over heals alot. It's just we keep it bottled up for alot of reasons. Some people see gushing emotions as weakness in males. Other guys have been hurt before and want to play it cool so that they don't feel so humiliated if they get turned down. This is probably a product of being repeatedly getting their hopes up with girls and then having them crushed. Another reason is they don't want to scare off the girls (think of it as placing low bets when you have a good poker hand until the last round of bidding so you can drive up the pot). I also know some guys who have habit of not expressing their emotions well so they try and base their actions off of logic without regard to their emotions. It's not that we don't feel things.

I know women fall in love...you know...they are mad about the person, thinking about them all the time, miss them if they're not with them, generally are just madly in love. I would like to find out the truth... because no male is ever likely to admit this to me in real life ... I only seem to know sports players who would rather die than show their feelings!!......do men get like this as well... I.e thinking about some-one all the time, checking their phone for texts, get insanely jealous, do you fall in love like we do? I really dont know...would love to hear...have you been crazy about a girl Not really, I have gottent excited to hear a certain someones voice, read their texts, etc. though, but I wouldn't really call it love. |

Usually the women get freaked out and think we're being "clingy" lol. Only if it happens too fast! Get the timing right and we'll be yours forever. |

In my observation Men are the ones who TRUELY fall in love while women are more in love with the IDEA of being in love.
I'm not saying women don't know what love is, just that when guys know they KNOW. I think a lot of times women just want it so bad they mistake thier strong feelings for love. |

It usually takes me a while, but when the switch goes off, there's no doubt as to where my heart is. |

We absolutely DO all of those things.
The reason that we don't show it all that often is that we have been " trained " by our upbringing...tv...movies...and women, to not actually show how we really feel. I add women to the list of reasons, because we, when we do show these emotions, are considered " needy " or " clingy " or " weak " in some way. Remember all those threads about a guy being " too nice "? Well...if a guy were to actually let a woman know he does those things, for a while she'll think " Oh how sweet...", but soon enough....she's gonna start seeing him as too " nice ". I mean....after all, a man showing his emotions is such a rare thing, there's GOTTA be something wrong with him. |

I am an extremely affectionate man, so i love to be around my lady alot....when I get one again, who shares similar interests, and isnt into all the negitive games.... |

I really dont know...would love to hear...have you been crazy about a girl I've never been in love, in lust yes...and that led to jealousy an emotion I'm not very fond of, so I did away with it. Never really been the one to sit by the phone waiting and hoping for a phone call from that "special" someone as I've never really had a "special" someone. I've actually come to the conclusion that I'm better of with friends anyway, I move around a lot and it would be hard to find a lady willing to move with me and/or accepting of that...so I'm destined to be alone, meh. |

A few personal observations about what happens when a man falls in love: When you sit at a green light not realizing it's turned.... Dialing 6 of her 7 numbers before you hang up... When you realize it's 2:00 AM and not only have you not been to bed, you haven't even moved off the couch and the TV's not on...yet you're wide awake. When you talk out loud and no one is there...and then you do it and people ARE around. Her faults are charming, her perfections exquisite in your eyes. Every other song on the radio applies to you and her. Cozumel is suddenly a romantic getaway idea, not Spring Break. Going for a walk in the middle of the night with no destination in mind, leads you to her sidewalk anyway. You realize that "love", "hope", and "desire" aren't words just thrown about on the Oxygen Channel. Cooking for yourself involves more than just a frozen pizza. You notice colors. In everything. |
