I never listened to country at all, but ya know im open to new idea i'd listen to some country, alot people hate hip hop and R&b but depends who you are listenin to, not every rap song is about banging dope and see who can hit the most chicks,

dubz, it depends on what you want to hear. i can give you a few ideas,, depends on what kinda music you want to hear. something to pick you up and make you wanna go out and do something,, or something to dance to.

I grew up with country my dad played peddle steel for Ernest Tubb before I was born, I have met many country legends!!!

No offense to the other posts But my experience with country music involves tissues and budweiser Country music is not depressing unless you think of it that way....if you remember the good times associated with what made you depressed, then you can listen to it with a new ear/ perspective..

the stuff on "country" radio isn't country. it's just liight rock with a steel guitar and/or fiddle. New age country.....alot of it is still good though.....nice car there

montgomery gentry,, toby keith, big and rich, them boys can rock a show. and i listen to everything,, but still country to the core. raised on a farm and with down home values Skamn Dippy!!!

dubz, it depends on what you want to hear. i can give you a few ideas,, depends on what kinda music you want to hear. something to pick you up and make you wanna go out and do something,, or something to dance to. same here, i can give you one hell of a list, depending on what mood you are in ' course, couple of my favs, outside of country, are ones like: Trapt-Headstrong & Stand Up Drowning Pool- Bodies & Step Up Disturbed- Get Psycho for my crazy mode. Yeah, music is a good thing for the mind, as long as you listen to it with the right ear....or the left ear...which ever helps you understand it more..

Didn't think Big & Rich is country....lol...inside joke. I sing/write and listen to country. Chris Knight, Aaron Watson, Jack Ingram, Wade Bowen, Kevin Fowler, Bruce/Charlie Robison, Kelly Willis, Cooder Graw, Stoney Larue, Wade Hayes, and of course chris Ledoux!

like most other kinds of music,, country has music that your mood can dictate. it all depends on what you rlooking for. it has things to break your heart, it has things to make you wanna go scoop up the first girl that you see and bend her back and lay a kiss on her that she will never forget, it has things to make you mad as hell, and it has funny songs.

Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams. To the more Bluegrass sounds of the Soggy Bottom Boys and Allison Krauss. Southern Rock.....Cross over counrty....Leann Rimes. And just let me say......T o b y K e i t h.....droooool. What ever genre you call it... its all good.
