Several years ago Garth Brooks played in the middle of Central Park in New York City. He told the press that he expected a small crowd but the the crowd that he got. Over 200,000 people showed up, that just shows you that Country music ain't dead.

There's a lot of country music that I like...maybe not the main stream C/W, but...Lyle Lovett, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams to name a few artists. Can't take a steady diet of any one genre, though...too much good music out there to spend time all on one type.

the stuff on "country" radio isn't country. it's just liight rock with a steel guitar and/or fiddle.
