Not a good idea, but when I was young I would have thought it was the best thing ever. But I have not heard this.

being an 18 year old i don't think it'd be wise. once that happens there will be a surge in alcoholic purchases throughout the states by ignorant young 18 year olds who don't know how to control themselves. not only will there be more binge drinking than before, more dui'sand accidents due to dui's will occur. not a good idea at all. enough said.

binge drinking is the reason they are thinking about it......hoping that making it legal college kids will be less likly to binge drink and do stupid shlt

duh.......i've been in college and the marine corps........you give an 18 year old the right to drink and it is only going to make things worse.......at least now most of them try to hide it and stay were they won't get into trouble

Responsibility isn't taught in years, as is evident by the numerous drunk drivers that are over the age of 40. I think it is a good idea, either way statistically most are getting drunk one way or the other. Might as well let them do it legally, they can vote afterall.

If kids are allowed to join the army I think they have the right to drink if they choose.

bad, Bad, BAD idea

kids will drink more
this won't deter them
it'll just give them the green light to get drunk

How will they drink more? When I was 18 I drank on a daily basis, and it wasn't legal...perhaps if it were legal it would take the flare out of drinking at such a young age, much like turning 21 slowed me down a bit...there is no excitement to it anymore.

no problem if there responsible , but hell there are 21 and older people that are not responsible !! I know when I was 18 I was old enough to serve my country ,but not old enough to drink ! but on the other hand I have a spirited 18 year old daughter this law would scare me ..so undecided !!ohwell

Adults with too much to drink are stupid enough, I con't need alcohol to act silly, ha ha......Not really a good idea, like I said there are enough deaths from drinking, stop killing the children more legally......noway noway frown

I heard about it today on the news.. I don't think it's smart but then again I don't agree with going into the military at 18... If we expect our 18 yr olds to die for their country then they should be able to drink as well.. If they can't then they should change the age to join the military to 21 as well....

I'd like to see the age for military service raised to 21.
