and take the oil like we wanted. Iran, Iraq, Suadi Arabia, Texas, Alaska, huh????????? What are you referring to, and I beg you to GET SPECIFIC. If you are going to get politically involved, elaborate and when you know WHAT TO DO, facilitate. Or hush. Make me believe in what you are saying. Be eloquent. This is diatribe. |

Considering it is not "our" oil to begin with and the crazy man at the head of things here has pipe dreams of some kind. I do not agree at all.
Oil is not worth the loss of life already on the tab. No more lives should be lost for this illegal endeavor of the great baby shrub. |

Voting for a third Bush term,eh? It's a demand issue, not a supply issue. The prices are up worldwide, wouldn't make sense if they weren't high here too. No amount of drilling will change that. When you consider that much of EU is still paying as much as $6.00 a gallon, the US has got it good. In fact, the EU has been paying around $4.00 a gallon since the 80's -- they adapted. Why is it absurd for us to do the same? |

Is anyone surprised that a FINITE commodity, which is depleting rapidly thanks to China and unfettered consumerism, would be milked for every extra dollar?
If I had only one beer left at a party, I bet it'd sell for much more than when the party began. |

This is B.S. We've got more than one oil reserve right here in the States that dwarfs what's available in the middle east. We're in Iraq for the reasons that are exactly as they appear, a massive f-up on the part of the Bush Administration in reaction to being bombed and looking for bad guys. It's that simple.

HEY! lets drill for oil right here! Wow that'd be super fantastic wouldn't it?
BTW we did not go to Iraq for the oil. I'm not sure if you remember all of the UN Resolutions Saddam was thumbing his nose at? What about the tons upon tons of uranium we found there (it's now in Canada)wouldn't that normally alarm you? We need to drill for oil here and rely less on imported energy. It really is THAT simple. If you aren't part of the solution then you are part of the problem. |

Yes, there might be a billion gallons under North Dakota. No need to drill offshore. Whatever reasons we went to war in Iraq, (they seem to be endless), we did and are left with the consequences. The fact is, Donald Rumsfeld screwed the pooch in Iraq and the Bush Administration should have canned him a long time before they actually did. The 'surge' would have been unnecessary and we could have had most of our troops home by now. This stands as the most monumental failure of the Bush Administration and it will take decades to fix it. |

China, The Sudan, North Korea, Zimbabwe. Do we attack all of them? Please, explain for me. I need to know where NOT to vacation. If so, I hope no one bombs us for thumbing our nose at the Kyoto Protocols. |

Considering that the "threat" of Saddam and his "WMD" was all garbage put out there to make the American people, hell the world, agree to the underhanded preemptive strike against a sovereign nation that did not do 9/11, Oil is what it has to be along with baby shrubs revenge on the threat to his daddy. None of which makes the illegal strike or war legal at any level. The UN resolutions was cover too. We only care about UN resolutions when it concerns those we are "interested" in or have as allies. Garbage again. Wow how divisive, kinda like your illustrious leader, they are either with us or they are the enemy. Stupidity to be that divisive in a role that we play in the world stage. |
