....when you realized what peacefulness what really is?
For me... A few years ago on the 4th of July, I had to work. After work I went out to a small Public Access boat ramp by Saginaw Bay. It was completely silent, except for the waves coming into the shore. Looking around, I could see the fireworks displays from several of the surrounding towns. There was absolutely no noise from them. Nothing but the burst of color. Absolutely the most peaceful I have ever felt. |

I was in Iraq, about a month after Desert Storm. I looked up at the sky, let out a sigh, and said a prayer for all that were lost(both sides) in the battles. I was AMAZED by the number of stars in the sky, and the lack of noise around me.

Teaching my niece to ride a bike...I let the seat go and she was off.....
Time stood still and I was totally cognizant of what a perfect moment that was. I use that sensor memory often. |

I wanted to put this question to you all because I know that the idea of " peaceful " is very different according to the person.
I just had a stroke of curiosity that made me ask....lol |

I just had a stroke of curiosity that made me ask....lol there are different types of moments of peace too if you've ever been in that moment of a life and death situation ...(you know the one) when everything happens in split seconds but yet in slow motion...... That moment you decide on your action...commit...and surrender and you are not afraid..and accept whatever will be "That surrender" is so liberating! |
