Have you ever felt you wanted to run away?
And leave the world behind for the day.
Just be able to leave and let go.
To go to a place that no one will know.

Just grab a few things to take.
And go out and sit out by the lake.
And watch the clouds go by.
As you lay back and look up towards the sky.

How peaceful that would be.
Away from all those that always disagree.
Just to have for one day.
Nothing but peace and quit to come your way.

Just to sit and watch the water flow.
And watch as the flowers grow.
As you reach down and pick a flower.
It would not matter if you spent the hour.

As you sat there and did nothing.
As long as it was peace and quiet the day did bring.
Oh how nice that would be.
Just to sit there under the big oak tree.

Oh now how it does seem.
I have gotten lost within a day dream.
For here I sit with my head on my hand to rest.
As I sit here behind this big old desk.
