I now prefer to be called only by my given name. At least when someone says my name, I'm sure they are talking to me! The ex never used it...only 'sweetie', 'dear', 'honey', etc. I figure he was afraid he'd mistakenly use the wrong name! I tend to call people only by their given names now, too...
