You don't get to pick your blood relatives, but you do get to choose family of the heart...(thank goodness in some cases!)

all of my aunts and uncles are much older than me... and I was brought up that way, and treated them as my "elders"... I have a totally different relationship with my siblings than I do my aunts & uncles. But I think it may be a lil different if you grew up together... I know some people who's aunt or uncle is only a year or 2 older than them, and on occasion, they are younger.

I always wondered why my big brother picked on me, gave me charlie horses, and called me horrible names.

The I got a little older, a little wiser, a little brother.
