Pantheism is the worship of chimpanzees as deities. Believers in pantheism accept Darwinian theory that states that humans and chimps share a common ancestry but believe chimps are the pinnacle of ape evolution and not humans. They look upon chimpanzees with reverence and respect. Pantheism is not pansexuality, where chimps are the target of human sexual desires but many worshippers of pantheism become sexually aroused when exposed to chimpanzees. Pantheism has been around for over 5 million years when humans and chimps last shared a common ancestor. Early man would often worship the more culturally advanced Pan. Pantheism declined after the Neolithic because of creationist religions that threatened people with their lives if they didn't abandon their beliefs in more sensible religions like Darwinism and its offshoot Pantheism.

Pantheism comes from greek "god is all"

"Classical pantheism, which is expressed in the immanent God of Kabalistic Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Monism, neopaganism, and the New Age, generally viewing God in either a personal or cosmic manner."

nothing to do with apes.

You know there is one commonality between all intelligent individuals in this world and that is the fact that they can understand that NOONE knows. People speculate, contemplate, test and rethink but noone knows. Noone knows it all. Noone has the iron clad answers for everyone else.

What it comes down to is knowing what you feel is right for you. That is it.

The power hungry people of the past who designed these religions with the intent of controlling people was wrong from the beginning design of the religion. If their intent was benign, they would have never included "this is the one true and right way". They would have conceded that all religions stand on the same premise, base, context, believablity, etc....

You are so absolutely right Dragoness. No one knows. Arrogance is thinking you know.

Blind arrogance is saying that you know you know.

I am gonna kind of disagree on the above statement. This is only because I am not gonna assume that God hasn't revealed himself to anyone living today. Now they might not be able to prove it and we wouldn't be able to know for sure if they are lying or not, but they would.

I just like to keep an open mind.

Feralcatlady,

Yes I understand why you are involved in religion. It is your church family etc. I think that is a lot of the reason many people get involved with their churches. It is not so much the "religion" it is the shared belief and shared lives and shared values. It's a feeling of belonging to a group of like-minded people. I understand that completely.flowerforyou

waiting for money to drop in your lap while you watch TV is more apt to happen than God imposing on your ambivalence.
