my son is a beast and playing football .

racing is a thing of the past and I am not so sure I want to resurrect that distraction to the chagrin of a better hope that is not a distraction for which the absence of , now remedied, created the opportunity for racing to unsuccessfully fill, in the first place.

and the California construction industry is in the tank and will be for quite some time and with the falling home prices and an opportunity to seize some good buys in the future that also will require some as yet unknown means to dabble in for gain . (more coffee please)

summer has been pleasant and the Bay Area is enjoying very temperate weather this year despite the tragic fires that havebeen wreaking havoc.

Hinting at something and trying to be mysterious about it is not going to fly. There is nothing mysterious about anything that is revealed and that which is revealed can be spoken. Don't pretend you know the answer if you cannot speak it.

If you want to play games just say so, I will bow out. I am not interested in your games.

Saying "God" is the answer is no answer at all, so don't even think that will fly.

where does the buck stop if every self thinking wise one blames every hearer for not hearing.......

is it not obvious that this would only make all speakers gravitate only to others that speak the same, and hearers only graviting to all that hear the same........dividing all

how is it any speaker can think itself speak wisdom but hearers be defective.........

would not soon one come to think all hearers are deaf, and one only hear what one already know as spoken by indentical speakers, allowing no new data into the brain.......

why does a hearer blame the speaker......because it is cause and effect that ensue when a speaker raise oneself to speaker, which bring the accountabilitiy of words spoken to create and purpose peace to the speakers doorstep, as the hearer has not made any such professions of wisdom by speaking first and speaking as to guide others........

this perception seems to be no different than youthful perceptions that believe the earth and all are to serve ones own happiness most, and how can this lead to common understanding or wisdom........

what family does this build, what commom brotherhood of man...

what good is all the doctrine in the world if it can't bring simple common understanding........good for seperating and creating emnity.........peace

This isnt really an opinion based thread. As far as I am concerned (and I think JB) we are only trying to show what science HAS proven and nothing more. I don't think either of us are trying to say how you should interpret this data, but just that its there and it exists.

There is no reason for science and faith to be at odds. Science explains quite nicely the physical phenomena in the universe, and faith has to deal with everything else.

It is just an unfortunate point of ignorance that people take the Bible to be the literal inviolate word of G*O*D.

The Bible, though an interesting read, and arguably a good book is no where near inviolate, having been translated through no less than 3 languages... ancient Hebrew, Greek, Latin, German, and then into English and subsequently every language in which it has been printed to spread the word and save the world.

There ARE philosophical truths in the book, and many good parables to teach one how to live a fulfilling and healthy life. It does not replace knowledge or critical thinking and those who feel that it is the penultimate source of knowledge are unfortunately deluded.
