You wanted to know if someone was to 'good' to come chase down a man for a dance if he talked with her for 5 minutes and walked away.

Why in the world SHOULD a woman have to chase down a guy? And why would a woman want to go after a guy and ask him to dance after a 5 minute chat.

The message seems to be one that they guy didn't hear anything of interest and didn't feel any attraction. To go after a guy simply because he bothered to speak to you for 5 minutes smacks of desperation.
