I email people for different reasons. So yes, I've sent the first email sometimes. I don't go searching profiles for people to email, though.

i'm all for it ![]() If you have seen someone in the forums, maybe responed to her posts wouldn't you e mail her 1st if you were interested? Thanks for your responses. ![]() I was raised not to make that 1st move, of course this kind of technology was only on Startrek! I have transfered those "rules" my mom taught me here & I am not comfortable e mailing 1st. I have dropped strong hints at times & I assume a guy would e mail me 1st if he were interested. I was raised the same way. It is unusual for me to send the first email to a man. yeah bt our momas did not have computers. haha |

I've met a few interesting men in the forums, but I don't know how to go from debate to romance. I guess I need to quit hinting & start hitting! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I usually get plenty of attention without doing the first email. I figure that I want the man who is most interested in me, because then I can hang onto him a bit easier. If I have to chase him, I figure I'll lose him to the one he finds worth chasing eventually.
I do find sometimes that I intimidate men and they are afraid they'll be shot down immediately- or at least I've been told that. All I have to say is... no guts, no ME for you. |

I have written to men first in a friends capacity but never as a love interest first write. I have seen a couple of guys in the forums that caught my interest but they lost it as fast as they caught as I don't like flirts as potential loves/lovers, or at least indiscriminate flirts. Why would I want to share my guys attention in that way with everyone?

Oh I always start out as friends, but that's all I ever am! I almost picked "Peppermint Patty" as my name. Remember her? The freckle faced best buddy that always had Charlie Browns back, while he pined for the little redheaded girl.
