i'm all for it 
If you have seen someone in the forums, maybe responed to her posts wouldn't you e mail her 1st if you were interested? Thanks for your responses. 
I was raised not to make that 1st move, of course this kind of technology was only on Startrek! I have transfered those "rules" my mom taught me here & I am not comfortable e mailing 1st. I have droped stronmg hints at times & I assume a guy would e mail me 1st if he were interested. I agree with you
TY Jules.  But I wonder if we are too old fashioned? it's hard for me to change this feeling that I have to wait to be approached. Last time I dropped a hint the guy did e mail me, he was a being a gentleman though, & not really interested so I felt "bad".
I don't know, maybe we are? But then again, I believe some things should stay the same.. men should make the first move. They can tell by our posts/hints..if we're interested, I think

As to the answer to the original question....
If she makes the first move, good for her. I don't cruise profiles, so I rarely email someone first. I have made a couple of exceptions, but it wasn't out of " interest " in them. Well..it was...but at the same time...it wasn't. I guess I just got very tired of emailing women only to see " Sorry, you just aren't very attractive/not ...my type..." etc etc etc. I've had enough of that to last me for a while. |

I can honestly say I have only sent out a handful of emails first in my year here.... and I have NO regrets  they are either good friends of mine now... or the one that fills my heart
