Telling the truth can be overrated. You have to think about telling the truth before you do it. servey the situation. Sometimes Lie, and take the chance of getting caught later. Lying can be a positive thing, depending what the situation is. It even makes you feel good sometimes to do it. just dont get caught. Have funbigsmile

How are lies positive?

...the truth can set you free..whats wrong with that? Or would you rather be a slave to lies?

Freedom requires responsibility. When you belive a lie you can later blam someone else when everything goes awry.

I think facing the truth requires admitting to faults within ourselves. By the way, your posts are very intellectual and require a bit of thought in response. Keep them up!

for the questions - a response is not expected because there were bizzare questions that i hope none would ever answer in the positive but sometimes its interesting to see people's reactions to the questions posted. that was merely my purpose for the posts.

Questions meant more for self-reflection?

if that is what you feel inclined to do with the questions then go ahead. as mentioned before, these questions were not directed at anyone, rather it was a way to discover people's reaction to questions posed.

"The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off" Gloria Steinum....

and Brian, telling a lie is never good... no matter the reason, you have to remember the lies you tell, you don't have to remember the truth.

You can tell the same lie a thousand times, it doesn't make it any more true than it was the first time.

Truth hurts once, lies hurt over and over.

But, WHY do you want to see someone's reaction to a thread about hurting animals or people?????

How are lies positive?

i think german philosopher, Kant, used an example of positive lies when he illustrated the point of a situation where or if germans were hiding jews in their homes and they came to that house, would you lie to protect the jews or be honest and get them all shot in the head. there is a positive lie.flowerforyou

for exactly the reason you just reacted. to see that people still care about others in this world, you will not be shocked to know that there are people, possibly in here, do not feel that way? it is my way of knowing about people in here. no harm in that.

i think the truth means opening up and allowing people to see your worst faults and then have to admit them.
its easy to just white wash everything but when reality hits it leaves everyone rubing the sore spot.
