A lie is a treatment for a disease, it makes you feel better, but your still dieing.

Telling the truth can be overrated. You have to think about telling the truth before you do it. servey the situation. Sometimes Lie, and take the chance of getting caught later. Lying can be a positive thing, depending what the situation is. It even makes you feel good sometimes to do it. just dont get caught. Have fun How are lies positive? i think german philosopher, Kant, used an example of positive lies when he illustrated the point of a situation where or if germans were hiding jews in their homes and they came to that house, would you lie to protect the jews or be honest and get them all shot in the head. there is a positive lie. And yes, that would be a positive lie.

make others feel good? ...the truth usually obvious, especially when an honest person points it out to me. My opinion of anything is not the truth; it is my view, or my belief. I've seen threads killed by a person stating an opinion as a truth, without respect to others. What I mean is that the truth doesn't hurt, so much as the opinion or the manner of expression does the damage. Mods can be skilled at handling the truth considerately...better than I.

You can tell the same lie a thousand times, it doesn't make it any more true than it was the first time. Truth hurts once, lies hurt over and over. I didnt say be a chronic liar. You have to pick your spots. Please no one on this earth can walk on water. We all lie. Big,Small,Black, or your everyday little white lie. I still don't see a good reason to lie, people lie to make themselves look good, or to deceive others, or to promote and get themselves ahead in life, none of these are good reasons to hurt people, and lieing hurts others, and in the long run it hurts you even more. It's a little thing called Karma, if I lie then someone will eventually lie to me.... I respect my friends more if they are honest, and say "hey, you were being a b*tch" than if they say "oh you were fine" then talk trash behind my back about it... Rule of thumb, don't say anything about anyone, that you wouldn't say TO someone.... otherwise, keep your trap shut about it...

If your mother, whos on her death bed and looks like death warmed over asks you how she looks...are you gonna tell her..."hey you look great mom" or are you gonna tell her she looks like death warmed over?

make others feel good? To me, It does make me feel GOOD,wink,lol. So I guess it comes down to one's REAL TRUTH! MINE will NEVER hurt me, as it is who I am and how I am,wink... But ANY and ALL who mislead will HATE THEIR TRUTH, back on them.. I know as I have given theirs back here many times,,,lol

truth is interesting...what if you have a friend that asks you if there fat....and they are...should you say yes??? At least then I would know that you are truthful. I am fat and I know it. I prefer honesty over lies which include the sugar coated lies. I would like to be called, big boneded

For every action they is a reaction. If ALL of us knew the reaction first, we ALL would be liers, at some points and areas through life. To say NO to THIS would be a lie to your self NOW. If the jews hiding were kept safe by the lie then yes, it was a lie to save a life, if on the other hand, the German man who lied had two of his family members killed before he told the truth, then HE, would have never tried the lie to start with,wink. Life is to me, way-to-short to live it telling only make-believe stories of one's life. Or self, as who they are or feel about life.
