Alright, after what occurred last summer, I swore I'd never hit on another woman at the workplace again, but while I was getting groceries today, the cashier that I like was dropping subtle hints .

I'm going to go this a little slower though, and if all goes well, maybe I'll ask her out.

My biggest obstacle in dating has been learning to overcome appearing too eager.

It always happens when you're not expecting it too...I had taken my groceries to get checked out before, and she sometimes appeared to be checking me out...today I saw her and thought what the hell, let's see what happens.

So she asks me "How's it going," and I respond, "Still breathing," to which she's laughs 'cause that's what I said to her last time. And then I say, "fortunately," to which she laughs again. I might have gotten another laugh or two before she said to me, "So you're watching the game tonight?" This surprised me, as it seemed a really random thing to say, and it actually encouraged me. "Game?" I responded. "The football game," she replied back. When I told her I don't follow football, she said she didn't either...and if I interpreted her tone right, I'd say she was relieved. When she said that she's not into football, I said, "That's refreshing to hear," to which she laughed again. Then we said our goodbyes.

Maybe some of the more aggressive daters out there think I should have been all over that, but I didn't want to say too much or linger too long.

Next time I need groceries, I believe I will go to her till and talk to her, and just see where the conversation leads.

Also, it'll help if there's no one behind me in line, as there was today. I felt kind of limited in how long I could talk because of that.
