Ha! I dated a cashier once, went through the same thing. After about a month of going through her line she finally said, "Aren't you a little busy to keep going through my line?" Gesturing to my one item in her long line when the express line was clearly a more logical and faster option. I responded, "I only invest time in what is important to me." I asked her if she was busy and while she was giving me change we set up our first date. Take it on your speed but don't hold back too long or you'll frustrate her and she'll move on.
