Occam's Razor

one should not increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything

Occam's razor means that almost every conspiracy theory should be deemed false until proven true. When assuming the cause of an event, occam's razor should be kept in mind. It is therefore unreasonable to accept conspiracy theories without hard evidence.

That would be the fools choice Spider.

(And that is not what Occam's razor is at all.)

Reasonable theories do collect evidence and proof and there are many out there that do have proof. BUT because of government and media cover-ups and misinformation campaigns, the general public is not allowed access to this proof.

The general dumbed down public believes everything they watch on the "Boob tube" and they believe everything their corrupt and completely evil politicians tell them. They are completely brainwashed and mind controlled and distracted by sports, entertainment and what celebrity is screwing what celebrity.

In short, they don't want to know the truth. In truth, they could not handle the truth. (Truer words were never spoken than that line.)

The truth will turn you hair white and you will lose sleep at night. The truth will make you vomit. The truth will scare the living hell out of you. Trust me, you probably really don't want the truth of this game we play.

JB

Please be consistant, okay?

You say in one post that we choose how we look and who we are (What the hell were the people in areas suffering from starvation thinking?!!!?) then you say that bad things happen to us because we committed them in a past life, then you say that say the people killed in Jericho were innocent (contradicting yourself) then you say that Alien lizards rule the galaxy (why didn't I choose to be a lizard instead of a human? Did I want to be a slave and get eaten?) then you say I should believe this stuff without proof and then you say that you won't believe in Christianity because there is no proof. It's making my head spin. You are right, I do want to vomit, to think that such an incredibly silly patchwork of beliefs makes sense to a grown woman.

its impossible to prove any truths beyond a doubt including Occams razor, including the bible, includung anything of mans mind. you base your beliefs on what you find to be reasonable about mankind and who and what he is at his core, from their it's easy to see that the heart of man is evil to its core, and not only is this possible as to conspiricys, but historically shown to be true.

Wrong, it is possible to prove many things, especially in math.

that has nothing to do with the human condition being spoke of hear or talked of here spider.

Strawman Fallacy, I didn't say that all math can be proven as truth.

Why would I ask Abra? I don't believe he was a professor of anything. Did you read what he posted about the Anthropic Principle? Even a cursory knowledge of what it is would show that he was completely wrong.

Why history? Do you know what a Mathematical proof is? Look it up, it's a mathematical statement which is necessarily true. That means it has to be true in this or any other conceivable universe or situation.

Over the past year I've refuted your unsupported argumetns so often that you've steered clear of me entirely for several months. flowerforyou

Your inconsistencies have been covered many times on these forums.

One day you're arguing that evolution can't be true and that the 6-day creation of the Bible has to be taken verbatum because it's the infaliable word of God.

The next day you're arguing that the Big Bang and evolution prove that the Bible must be true. laugh

You're about as consistent as a fruitcake.

Tribo,

Obviously you don't know what a mathematic proof is. Obviously you don't care to learn. Why don't you ask the good "professor" to explain it to you.

Spider this is utter nonsense.

Mathematical statements are only true within the realm that their axioms apply.

Your knowlege in this area is compeltely non-existent.

For example, in Euclidian geometry parallel lines never meet, but in other non-Euclidian geometries they do.

Those are axioms. What's true in one geometry is not true in another geometry. So mathematical statements in those different geometries only hold for those special cases.

You're assertion that mathematical statements have to be true in this or any other conceivable universe or situation is totally false.

It's just another one of your totally empty unresearched accusations.

You just make things up off the top of your head and try to pass them off as absolute truths.

Then you claim that you are refuting other people's arguments?

You can't even make a valid argument on your own.

You're currently running a thread where you claim that the Big Bang, which implies an evolution from chaos into order, proves that the biblical picture of God must be true.

http://www.justsayhi.com/topic/show/151007

I'm not going to go looking for your threads against evolution, and your support for a verbatim 6-day creation, I'll leave that up to the memory of other posts. I'm certain that you've held those notions tooth and nail because I've debated with you on those issues and you refused to budge.

You think that you can just deny anything and that's all it takes. But you're wrong the people on these forums aren't stupid. They know that what I say is true. You have argued those positions in the past, quite adamently. And clearly now you are claiming that the Big Bang proves the bible. Quite a turn around from a demand that the 6-day creation be taken verbatim as the "Word of God".

Abra,

The mathematic proof must always be used under the conditions to which it applies. But say evil lizards ruled the universe, it would still be true that the result adding two even numbers will always equal an even number. Say that nothing intelligent existed in the universe, it would still be true that the result of adding two even numbers will always equal an even number. Any situation in which even numbers, any even numbers, are added the resulting value will be even.

Once again, you reveal you ignorance of mathematics, "professor". There are two types of non-euclidean geometry. In one the lines would move away from one another and never met and in the other they would meet. Well, at least you got a 50% on this one.

You completely weaseled your way out of that one by trying to ignore what you had stated:

you said

Look it up, it's a mathematical statement which is necessarily true. That means it has to be true in this or any other conceivable universe or situation.

That's simply not true.

It all depends on the axioms that are in play at the time. You can't make absolutes out of it. Mathematical statements that are true in this universe, may not be true in other universes.

When we speak of truth we have to consider different levels of understanding and we have to consider the laws of the universe in which we live.

In my world view all of it is very consistent and all of it fits neatly together and makes perfect sense. If I had the time, and if you really wanted to know, I would be able to explain it to you, but you Spider, are frantically trying to hold onto your core belief system and that system keeps you sane and together.

As incarnations go, we may have all have spent time living as reptilians or other creatures besides humans, but I am not concerned with ancient history where my current HUMAN life is concerned. Once a soul transverses from reptile incarnations to human, they never go back. They shed the past and evolve forward.

But before you pass your arrogant judgment on my world view or on my beliefs you should have a better understanding of them. You don't, and you don't want to and you never will. You just want to lash out and ridicule. You are where you are and I respect that.

If you have any really sincere questions I would be happy to answer them.

JB
