i was talking to a friend's kids the other day and they asked me how i got the small scar on my chin. i explained that when i was 5 i was riding my bike, and closed my eyes for just a second. it was a really neat feeling, so i shut my eyes and pedaled faster. 5 seconds of elation came to an abrupt halt when i ran full blast into a parked motorhome. there were several adult eyewitnesses, one of which took me home, and my ma took me to the hospital. it took 8 stitches to close up.

anyone else do something as a child you now look back at and wonder "what was i thinking???"

I was so desparate for something sweet when I was a little kid. Having to share among 6 kids was tough. Then, ........
I found the chocolated exlax in the bath. Looked like mini Hershey's.

Needless to say......... lots of laughter in the house that night!!!! ohwell

It was my parents' anniversary and my grandma was babysitting. I went to the park and rode the spring ride (don't know what it's called). I acted like I was in a rodeo...having a time of my life...then "Bang"! I slammed my front tooth on the head of the ride. I spit my chipped tooth out and ran home crying. That was so painful! Still have the chipped tooth till this day. I don't know...I guess it grew on me...gave me character...no one seemed to mind.

Wow...WAY too many times to count...lol

I guess the main one would have been trying to jump the river here in town on a 10 speed bike cuz a guy bet me 20 bucks I couldn't do it.

Riding on my buddys handle bars when he hit a rut in the street and I went flying on my face. I had little tiny rocks& dirt embedded in my check & shoulder ...still slight scars by my eye.

I was about 8 yrs old and climbed my friend's tree on a dare, forgetting that the bottom branch may only be six feet off the ground but then add your height to it and it seems like a million miles up to a kid who is afraid to jump down.....Her brother had to come out and stand on the picnic bench and get me out of the tree.embarassed embarassed embarassed

I was about 8 years old and WAY TOO BIG for a big wheel... you remember those bikes? They were really low to the ground and made of all plastic? Well it was my brilliant idea to follow my neighbor who at the time was 10 and try to race him. He's on his brand new kick butt BMX bike and I'm on a My Little Pony Big Wheel! So we're bolting down the driveway and he takes a hard left onto the grass around the tree and I'm gaining on him so I follow... onto the WET grass... on a low-riding bike made of plastic! I had NO traction, spun out of control and did a header off the front and into the pedal of the bike... I got 7 stitches in my left cheek and the scar to prove it.

awweeee!....

when my 10 yr old was about 3 he climbed up the back of the toilet and got a bic razor out of medicine cabinet and proceeded to shave.

was only minutes before I realized he was in there alone but it was to late.....he dug the razor right into his own chin..omg that was scary!

Oh, I should say so. I jumped into a river bed, landed on a tree trunk; I do think. I ended up getting 26 stitches in my right knee. Then the following year, Jumped from a six foot tall ladder into a plastic swimming pool, ended up with 20 stitches on same knee, just below the first set. Then at the laundry mat, I was swinging on those over head clothes bars, went to get down and the table feel onto my right hand, just missing my head, well I should say my neck. That ended up in 30 stitches across my inner hand. There are a lot more, but I could write a book. I still have all the scars from them.
