Okay so out with it then! I guess i wasn't really asking women why they don't spill their secrets, I was sort of using inuendo to ask if it was okay to withold some of mine! One person came to the table with specifics so I will too I guess. Violence is in my past and I had to bid farewell to a higher than average amount of people due to various reasons. One of which was a woman I loved a great deal who was murdered and the rest your run of the mill OD, suicide, car accident that kind of thing. I don't like speaking of Tiffany but I'm torn between honesty and lying. Is it lying to not want to talk about murder and death? I don't know but I guess I would like some kind of reason to leave it behind and not talk about it with new partners. Is that wrong?

I assumed that you were speaking of break-ups and things of that nature. In regard to painful subjects, you have every right to not want to revisit it. Any woman, with compassion, is going to understand that you don't want to talk about it.

secrets take many forms sweet! Which ones can be kept in private without being a **** and which ones are relevant to honesty in dating? I like to think of myself as an honest and good person even if I am a bachelor and a bit of a **** from time to time but some things I would like to leave behind!

That is up to you. Everyone is intitled to thier privacy.

this is the first I have ever heard of this problem - women want a full disclosure but are unwilling to reciprocate? In half a century on this planet this is the first complaint I have heard..I guess it's because when I am with a guy, all I want to do is talk about me,myself, and I.

Why do women rip through a mans past without mercy and without ever giving up secrets of their own? We never say how we feel you say, well you never open up either! why the double standard where the past is concerned?

the opposite is true for me....I don't volunteer much from my past....I live in the present and don't dwell on the past as i've already dealt with any of those issues....

I find too many women volunteer too much of their own past, as if before we can move on in our relationship i need to hear about their Ex relationships....I don't need to hear it or be the judge....just deal with it & move on....

i want my woman, to be here now, with me....

It's a pretty big assumption to say all women do that. I've never kept my past a secret... it's a big part of what made me who I am today. I don't feel I should have to tell every detail, but a great deal of it makes for good stories, so why not?

If a man doesn't want to know any of my past, it tells me a lot about him, and if he doesn't want to share any of his, it tells me even more.

It's just another way to bond, and another way for people to have ammunition against you. It's everyone's individual choice to bare or not to bare.

I answer if asked..but men(alot of men should I say) have the today and now on their mind, and what they stick their wick into and run if they hear anything they don't want to think about or have to try.
