Let us say it has been proven there is a spirit or soul that leaves your body when you die, how would you envision your death?

Do you think you will get a highway to heaven paved by clouds for you?

Do you think that as soon as you die you are born again in another type of life?

Do you think you float in space like a spirit with other spirits talking about something we don't understand?

Do you think nothing happens and you are eaten by hungry worms?

Do you think you will become a animal or insect on this planet as you had your chance of being a human?

Do you think that you will be going through a judge court determining what will happen to you like the Egyptian Dead Scrolls, or Tibetan Dead Scrolls, or any other religious endings we have. If so explain your version!

or do you have a totally different ending that I have not mentioned.

as for me" I don't know!", but I am all eyes to read your versions!

I'm going back home to be with Daisy Fleabane. No need for any trials or tribulations. That would be superfluous in my case. flowerforyou

The cute Scandinavian/German/Dutch/Swiss Fun Bunny I would probably be with, would probably scream and then call her mother to ask for advice!

Me? I'd be dead, so what the hell do I care?

Helluva way to die tho bigsmile

I'll be going back to the library on level 27 to finish my research. I have a beautiful house in the hills near there.

I am opting for the ghost route. I think you mentioned that one in the fourth. (Do you think you float in space like a spirit with other spirits talking about something we don't understand?) I think there is something to the paranormal. I haven't ever felt like I belong in the normal category anyways. Yup. First thing I think I will do is haunt my ex. Never got a word in edgewise. Maybe in the afterlife she will take me serious. Yeah. Screw with now. Boo.laugh

Yahshua said Lazarus sleeps. The ps. says how can you praise Yahweh from the grave.

The dead in Messiah rise 1st.

Interesting in sleep and death studies that the same chemical is released shoertly after death as it is in a deep sleep.

Know knowledge of time. The next thing you know is you wake up.

This is fair and just to Yahweh's creation. Yahshua was the 1st born of the dead.

The spirit that leaves us is our breath. The same thing that made us come alive.

All will wake up together either in the 1st or 2nd ressurrection.. No partialities on Yahweh's part..Shalom..Miles

Before one could begin to answer that, one would first have to have some "belief" as to the "nature" of the soul.

There is another question that comes to mind regarding this discussion.

How much of the original question would be epistemology, how much ontology and how much phenemenology?

BUT then again there is always that nagging qeustion WHY would we even want to think about it? why why why????

Hi and always good to see you post!

Wow you have used some huge terminology. Okay let us look at these terms you mentioned.

The studies of epistemology is the philosophical theory of knowledge.

The studies of ontology is the metaphysical study of the nature of being and existence.

The studies of phenemenology is a philosophical doctrine proposed by Edmund Husserl based on the study of human experience in which considerations of objective reality are not taken into account.

Yes it clearly shows that one would have to study perhaps all three branches to come to an understanding if a spirit even exists or if it is nothing more then the use of imagination only.
