No, your lover should be your best friend and should know everything about you.

if its painful and you've put it in the past and it won't affect your new love I think its ok to keep it private.

your lover, wife, best friend should no about all your skeletons

In a committed relationship that's to be successful, there should be no secrets, I firmly believe that.

are better to be kept as secrets? Even from your lover? Secrets of two is no longer secret .Keep it for you self only . |

I think some things from someone's past might be better off left unsaid.
If it's something that may hurt/harm them in anyway, then they should be told. |
|

what's in the past stays in the past
as long as it will not affect the relationship, then why go there |
|

Especially from you lover!!
You should disclose things to your mate, though!! Nothing like finding out too late that there's something that person would find unacceptable about you. If you feel the need to keep something a "secret", it's something you likely are ashamed of or embarrassed about. Not always, but still.... |

Important to be in an honest relationship. If there that close to you they'll understand. No need for secrets.

If its painful for your partner...leave it in the past...move foreward.
