Thinking about investing in a chainsaw. I sure got a lot of housework and yard work to catch up on. God sure did a lot a tree trimming around here. God sure isn't a respecter of person. His personal trees got a lot of work done to them as well as the power company's trees (telephone poles).

I sure will. The ice storm really help some of the businesses around here. Things that were bought up around here were things like chainsaws, generators, oil lamps, candles. But it must have hurt some of the folks who sell firewood with all the downed trees and branches. In an area that is already rural people were thinking about wood stoves and even getting more back to nature. I was impressed with those people who went out of their way to check on others and their welfare. I found out that one of my neighbors has a spring and didn't mind if we got water from there. Calamity does have a way of bringing some folks together.

Well, I am parking the van for a while. Sure enough that guy from Yellville Tire and Auto was right. I just got the van out of the shop for the alternator being wired up wrong from Cheever's. He fixed the gas gauge so it worked right and done some wiring cleanup. That brought the price up $1300 with the new headlights and adjusting bracket for one headlamp. Yellville Tire and Auto told me $120 for the new water pump. I parked it like he said to do until I can get the money for the water pump and labor. i am beginning to think this van is possessed. I guess I will have to drive the car for a while until I can get the money pit fixed.

My mom can be sweet. She can be salty, too. I am trying this Tropical Trail brand trail mix instead of the Mountain Trail trail mix. I think I like both kinds. The Tropical Trail might take a bit of getting used to.

I had Rosie at Parts City in Yellville price the water pump and she said $25.00 with a $3.00 core charge. I looked at where the water pump was and trying to figure out why I would be charged a $120.00 for Yellville Tire and Auto to put it in. I am going to do this job myself. Rosie ordered the water pump and said it would be in tomorrow for me along with the passenger side mirror. She said I could probably find an old detergent bottle cap to put on the windshield washer container.

Spent a long time at Walmart's parking lot. I took the top left headlight bracket out and found that the adjusters were just hanging out. I got them screwed in right this time where they are firmly seated. Now the headlight isn't pointing at the ground but like it is supposed to. I took the dash under the driver's side out which only took about thirty something screws with some being phillip's head and some bolt heads but finally got to the back of the unit where I was able to get to the brighter-dimmer light bulb. Now the light comes on when you click the brighter-dimmer on the steering wheel control. Put a visor dvd holder around the visor so the foam doesn't off until I can get a visor that has its covering on it. I was lucky that I didn't get my legs run over while I was hanging out from the driver's side door. My next project is to get the in between seats catch all that holds pops and acts like a glove box. I killed a bunch of time.

Aw. Will have to see it. Went to go fix the temperature controller myself. When I started to take it out it fell apart in my hand. I showed Rosie down at Parts City what I could manage to get back together in pieces. She looked it up on her computer. We looked at the picture of the part together since the right water pump was in the wrong box. Not her fault because her supplier boxed it up wrong. But got the water pump fixed good. Another $52.00 to the money pit. She said the temperature controller would be in at 8 in the morning. My friend, Stu who is on nights with me said I need to give up on the van and just try to sell it. I told him I have put too money into now to give up on it. My son, Darrell is coming by this Saturday with his chainsaw. I am sure he will bring Autumn, my grand daughter. My daughter, Sara said she would try to come see me. That might be a maybe on seeing her. She has to go back to Russelville.

Got the temperature controller on by myself. It was a real 'b' but I got it on there. Had to stretch the wires taut to get it plugged in the back and had to take off some other stuff to get to it. Main thing is that it works now. Bought new wiper blades that I had to have. I will take it to Cheever next to get the passenger side window fixed if he can fix it. I have ordered the free catalog from J C Whitney. I was hoping to see my son today but he didn't come over. Brad from the meeting confirmed my suspicion of the starter box being bad between the pressure switch and the well pump. Brad about $75 bucks for the starter box. He told me what he thinks what happened when I blew the circuit was that it took out the large capacitor in the starter box. He said I shouldn't replace the capacitor but the whole box and make sure I didn't get the hot wires mixed up. Of course, he said to make sure the breaker was off when I did it. Even though the weather head needs to be replaced and probably the outside breaker box they never did shut the power off to the pole so I will work on getting the water running. I sure miss having water. I will go and fill up some more jugs of water from mom in the morning.

Getting new back tires soon. One behind the driver's side blew, yesterday. Was doing some yard work, today with my handsaw to fallen trees and branches. Looking to buy a chainsaw and it won't be long that I will need the lawn mower fixed or replaced. It sure was a pretty day. Went to church this morning and soon to the men's group at church.
