What are your motives behind asking such a question? You don't need to know that & you wouldn't understand my answer anyway.

Flarob, you really should stay away from "it seems to me" phrases when it's clear you don't understand much about this. Your allusion to Tax Man is contemptible. I have nothing to hide from anyone. I just tire of dull people talking about things that would put me to sleep. Zzzzzzzzzzzz

As a mod, I think we need to drop some ofthe issues people are playing with here.
Read the rules & HEED the rules.

Just a reminder for all.

Asking questions is all part of the getting to know each other phase. It's normal. I wouldn't think of meeting a guy I knew nothing about. I would hope guys feel the same way. If the questions get too personal just politely decline answering.

Sage, You are absolutely correct. I should not have said what I did. I do apologize to you, He Searches and anyone else that may have been offended by my remarks. Rob

Good eye contact tells me whether I want to get interested in a woman. I know something is going on with a person when they have difficulty looking at me in the eye...and it's probably something I'm not going to like.

If a guy is going to notice that you have a nice figure or a nice chest he should try to do it when he thinks you aren't looking.

Asking someone what they do for a living as one of your first questions shows a real lack of imagination. It's lame.

Let's try to make this thread a little more positive by posting the best, most imaginative questions you could ask on a first date or in a first conversation.

I'll start.

If you could be anything you wanted to be and knew you wouldn't fail, what would it be?

How bored would you be if I answered that I wanted to be the CEO of a company? To me, knowing you are financially comfortable, and that I am not, that question would be almost hurtful, like "what would you be if you were not such a loser?" So, I think the moral of the story is, just lighten up! Give somebody a chance to get the basics out of the way. The questions you hate may be interesting to someone else. The more interesting stuff will eventually show up. If it doesn't, then dump them and move on! flowers

Was that polite enough, Sage? I was really trying! I promise!! flowers

I agree that we all need to play nicely. Rob appologized quickly. Every time I have been in the forums, he has acted like a gentleman.
If you are finding so many dull people here, hop to another forum topic. I can't help feeling that when you are on that perhaps onknowingly you bring on an air of "superiority".

Now poly, just get things calming down & you go & blow on the embers.

Need to express things as your thoughts/opinion, rather than facts.

Thanks
