Quick summary: I've been talking to this woman since January. We've both said we love each other. We've overcome many obstacles to get to this point. August is our window. She's a teacher and will go back to work shortly thereafter. We talked about an 8 day stay. She was backing off of that yesterday for silly reasons, but I believe was seeing sense when apparently she had some sort of accident which required 7 stitches. She will not tell me where the stitches are. Like I effing care. I went ahead and purchased the ticket anyway since I've spent more than that on one roll of the dice and began to sense that all of this time she might have been bullsh!tting me. Now I wait How long ago did you purchase the tickets? I did non-refundable and had to cancel and got full refund but that was very shortly after I purchased them. If you think she is backing out and says so... you can still cancel and get an airline credit. Wait and talk with her... stop freaking out until you have a reason to do so. If she says that she doesn't want to meet then you have reason to freak and cancel the tickets. If she is just concerned about cost for 8 days or where she'll be staying during the time of her visit... we those are valid reasons to be cautious and back off a little. Breath and relax for now! Those are not her concerns. Her concerns were excuses not valid reasons. I'm trying Tanya.... I'm trying distractions too.... |

Mitch, could be she's just getting nervous, which is of course a little silly but still, happens. Maybe she's trying to give you an out if you want to change your mind. But just because she's giving excuses, doesn't mean she doesn't want to meet, just could be she's scared. If that's all it is, she'll be fine soon enough
