What do you think of people who openly smoke pot at concerts, amphitheaters, etc.... without regard to recovering alcoholics and drug addicts, in attendance, who should not be inhaling that smoke?

I don't think you have to be a recovering addict to not want to inhale that smoke....just a thought.

I don't drink, smoke, or use drugs so whatever anyone else does doesn't affect me (as long as they don't run into me after the concert).

They just don't take into account how it effects others around them.

so what you're saying is that anyone smoking pot at a concert should think first about recovering addicts? most concert venues i go to serve beer and wine...is that inconsiderate to recovering alcoholics? i don't necessarily agree or disagree with your post, i really don't care, but the point you used didn't seem to justify the means.

Recovering alcoholics have a heck of an easier time staying away from alcohol than they do smoke floating thru the air.....

okay, i'm quoting a recovering addict as i type..and he says, it is for him to conform to society as society has been there all along, not vice versa in his recovery. just sayin'...

Actually, I have had jobs with random UA's. Not many companies give second chances.

Having to avoid pot smoke and consumption of alcohol is just the consequence of your choice to consume them and be addicted to them in the first place. If that means you can not or should not attend certain venues or live in certain environments so sorry Charlie. If someone is breaking the law then you have the right to complain to the community where you live and disallow their freedom to use the public venue. If concerts were boycotted or artists could not perform in certain areas by being and attractive nuciance to criminal behavior then artists would insit on drug free venues. That is unlikely.

Clean and sober here since 1981. Yep, people smoke dope and drink at concerts, get over it or don't go.

Trying to change concert going culture in a decade?

Aren't recovering people not supposed to frequent the same patterns?

Now granted..it would be nice for them to enjoy music in an environment not of temptation, but if they were at the same venue a year or a couple of months back..."Partaking in the Party"....
....wouldn't it be just slightly hypocritical to come back righteous as a reformed whore?

Insanity - frequenting a place of known behaviour, expecting a different outcome.
