...help your brothers and sisters?
This is a general question. Since all of us share the human nature we are supposed to help each other as brothers and sisters. Or not necessarily helping other people, but helping in animal societies, or environmental protection associations, or any other kind of humanitarian effort. with this i don't mean sending 20 bucks every month to a charity. what I mean is actually helping with your time, skills, or availability. this question also includes having positive attitudes toward family, friends, or other people when they need somebody to hear and support them when they r in emotional or physical need. Tithing of your time, talents and treasure.
Since my treasure is rather tight in this post divorce economy I live in, I give more of my time and talents. |

I work for a nursing home but it has really been more help to me than I have been to others there. It is a magical place.

It is hard to be there for them when they do not think they have a problem or the need for help.
I do not like to push or give unsolicited help. Yet, I love them all the same - despite the pain, suffering, and potential losses it can cause me. I have heard of Letting go and Letting God. Of Detaching, Letting Go with Love. Yet, I cannot say that this is always possible in the real world; because of the bonds of love and affection and not wanting to lose that person. However, we must ultimately weigh for ourselves, is the pain and suffering worth it. Are there any positives here for me? I was raised a Christian, yet - I am no martyr. |
